That's 2 back to back 8/10 performances from Sander.
Undroppable now. Well done by Hecky getting him in a spot where he does most damage.
Dominant.
Because he knew he'd win a cornerHe made the run to win the corner for the goal too….. could just have ambled down towards the corner flag to waste a bit of time but I think this is the spirit Hecky is now giving the players, attack minded.
When he’s aggressive no one comes close to him in this divisionSomeone’s been feeding him some red meyt. Absolutely superb again.![]()
He’s class, he’s in the side and it’s exactly what he needed to feel the game and the league he is in , I like him please do not sellHe's been good, sometimes very good, in every game recently, but some people seem determined to pretend otherwise. Surely there's no denying that performance tonight?
How do you stop someone that big and strong, not to mention deceptively quick, running past you?Imagine if he’d played RWB
Quality couple of performances, the lad just strides past people when he wants.
I still can't work out where he plays. Help me here please.I'm genuinely pleased. I always felt that there was definitely a player in there or he wouldn't have been chased by so many top teams. But it always seemed like our system didn't suit him as he wasn't an outright defensive midfielder, he didn't look like an outright attacking midfielder and he didn't look like a box to box midfielder. I just couldn't figure out what kind of midfielder he was and how he would fit in with Sheffield United. Thankfully Hecky has and my words, he's looking like the money we paid for him.
Davies starting, Gordon on bench till Goode comes back. Berge should be allowed to get forward.Just as he gets played in a more forward role and starts to play well, he'll end up as one of our centre halves for a few games
I agree the ref was the worst one at the Lane for a long time. Seriously he needs to be assessed by the high ups in the game, surely we don;t have to put up with such sub standed officials as that guy last night. He only got two things right last night and that was the penalty and the sending off the rest of his game was shocking to such a degree he nearly lost complete control of the match. He was lucky not to get a yellow card for the second challenge, but extremely unlucky to get the yellow he did get. I don’t think it was even a foul. He got the ball and the Blackburn player missed it. Then there was contact, and the Blackburn player rolled about on the ground, so Berge got booked. If anything, it should have been a free kick the other way.
