He made the run to win the corner for the goal too….. could just have ambled down towards the corner flag to waste a bit of time but I think this is the spirit Hecky is now giving the players, attack minded.

That's 2 back to back 8/10 performances from Sander.

Undroppable now. Well done by Hecky getting him in a spot where he does most damage.

Dominant.

And if Sharp had buried that first half header he'd have got a 9 for the assist.
Hope his body holds up, in this form he's a class above.

He's been good, sometimes very good, in every game recently, but some people seem determined to pretend otherwise. Surely there's no denying that performance tonight?
He’s class, he’s in the side and it’s exactly what he needed to feel the game and the league he is in , I like him please do not sell

Blokes and absoloute baller I thought he was a very good Sitting midfielder and a Right mid

But that forwards position he looks a monster sky is the limit for that lad hopefully for a while longer with us 🤞

We've found his role and he's revelling in it. Long may it continue.

I'm genuinely pleased. I always felt that there was definitely a player in there or he wouldn't have been chased by so many top teams. But it always seemed like our system didn't suit him as he wasn't an outright defensive midfielder, he didn't look like an outright attacking midfielder and he didn't look like a box to box midfielder. I just couldn't figure out what kind of midfielder he was and how he would fit in with Sheffield United. Thankfully Hecky has and my words, he's looking like the money we paid for him.

I reckon Hecky has given him licence to retain the ball and run at the opposition, he’s causing teams lots of problems, no one can get close to him when he’s in full flight, he looks like a teenager playing in an under tens match.

That has always been his strongest asset, but he has always seemed reluctant to do it regularly, seemingly preferring to play a simple pass?

Whatever the reason behind his sudden change of style, long may it continue, he actually looks something like a £20m player lately.

Could imagine him in a good premier side.....needs to stop fit , get even stronger and start scoring goals...he has it all , just needs to maintain it......problem for United is that he when/if he does ..it’s goodbye

He seems to be linking up well with everyone esp our strikers, I hope he gets a goal soon or perhaps a moment defining hatrick.
He was bloody good last night.

I still can't work out where he plays. Help me here please.

*Does he work just between the labia majora?

Just as he gets played in a more forward role and starts to play well, he'll end up as one of our centre halves for a few games

Davies starting, Gordon on bench till Goode comes back. Berge should be allowed to get forward.

His technique is superb in possession and his size can hold off 2 or 3 defenders whilst they attempt to cripple him and yet he still powers on.
His bulking up now but still has the speed, reminded me of a Ruud Gullit in some ways.

His respectful demeanor saved him from the red card as well, which makes his market value even greater if he stays humble.
It's good we didn't panic sell to the arse, as well as they will ruin him. If he can blend better luck with such ability I can see him starring in the champions league eventually.

He was lucky not to get a yellow card for the second challenge, but extremely unlucky to get the yellow he did get. I don’t think it was even a foul. He got the ball and the Blackburn player missed it. Then there was contact, and the Blackburn player rolled about on the ground, so Berge got booked. If anything, it should have been a free kick the other way.
I agree the ref was the worst one at the Lane for a long time. Seriously he needs to be assessed by the high ups in the game, surely we don;t have to put up with such sub standed officials as that guy last night. He only got two things right last night and that was the penalty and the sending off the rest of his game was shocking to such a degree he nearly lost complete control of the match.

Full Yaya again. It’s only HT unall 😍
