Would you have him back? Portsmouth are imploding, probably relish getting out of a sinking ship. Might be more open to reasonable wages. Did provide goals and creativity last season.

We want him to create and score goals Tarquers, not give you a regular sorting.

It's not something I suffer from personally. I don't care if players move on, score against us, celebrate like there's no tomorrow, bad mouth the club etc., it's all part of the circus.
I can appreciate Norfolks point about it upsetting the apple cart but, that aside, it's got to be about what he brings to the team and not what baggage he took/brings with him.

NB: All this being said, I don't think there's a chance in hell that it would happen.
 
Hmm I wouldn't want him back if the stuff he said after he signed for Pompey was in context...

I suppose it'd be a down to the current squad to call this. If they think he is a jumped up little twat then no. But if they'd welcome him back then i see no issue.
 
If the squad don't have a problem with him, offer him a contract till the end of the season, we still need somebody for the right hand side

He has been quoted that he is in it 'for the long haul'.
He's staying at Portsmouth.

I'm with HC on this one. Let's see how much he'd want to come back. I appreciate this is all hyperthetical and he might not want to come back, but, if he did, i'd hope he felt he had a point to prove.

It is a no brainer. He is better than Flynn and at least would increase competition for places. He can also play CM better than any of the rest of the squad.

Could not care less about if he is a nob-eard. can anyone seriously tell me they think McDonald is owt other than a tosser?

However from a practical point of view I just cannot see it happening.

Lots of players out there who may improve our team and who would probably come for less money tham LW would want

Done nowt since he left and I even doubt he would improve us. As someone else has said, he played far better when he had a quality attacking full back playing with him as in Matty Lowton. He wouldn't get that if he returned

Time to move on imo
 
Much rather see us find some money and sign Luke Murphy from Crewe.

Willo despite last season spent more of his time injured than on the pitch. He took 3 years of Championship wages and then when asked to lower them to a more reasonable amount he was off like a shot. After a month at Pompey Id have thought he may have come back with his tail between his legs but once there he clearly burnt his bridges with us in the press. Anyway the latest from Pompey is they are unsure of their players futures, so good luck to him he is going to need it.

I dont think any of us know the full story about what went on with Williamson. I certainly don't think it was as cut and dried as chasing the money - though it certainly played a part.

I suspect Danny Wilson would take him back in a shot.

it's not like the guy is john barnes or summat. he didn't give a toss when he left, why would he give a toss now??
 
No brainer for me, yes. He is superior to Mcallister (aka invisible man) who seems to be our first choice cover. I would rather have better players, so obviously yes.

So you did, I was about to remind you, and then do it my self. I wish that Danny could bring the the local young'uns through,as John Harris did. I would risk another season in this horrible division ,if we could continue, keep and play those up and coming yougsters.AND put an emborgo on their departure.

Overspent big time. Money they didnt have. Money that wasnt theirs. Fucking horrible dispicable club. Not far behind leeds for me. I absolutely hate Portsmouth.

If we had strict rules like Italy (or Scotland for that matter) teams wouldnt do this
