Will we sell out?

This thread and other ones about PO's and tickets are blowing my mid a bit and actually making me feel quite depressed.

I get the finances are an issue for some but really struggle with the general apathy that lots of people seem to have about watching their team. Is it just us or does it reflect a wider issue across the game, i don't know? Is it part of the same issue that fans pour out of the Lane from 80 mins onwards whatever the match situation, they can't all have mobility needs, journeys to the other end of the country etc etc. If watching United made me feel like that i'd just stop going altogether.

For me, after the daily grind, life is predominantly about experiences with my family and friends. If we're fortunate enough to be at Wembley on 24th May then i'd give my right bollock to be there roaring the boys on with my wife, kids and friends.

Old Wembley
Pigs ❌
Palace ❌
Millennium Stadium
Wolves ❌
Old Trafford
Newcastle ❌
Arsenal ❌
New Wembley
Burnley ❌
Huddersfield ❌
Hull City ❌
Man City ❌

That’s my record watching United at a neutral venue. Played 9, lost 9, scored 4, conceded 17.

So, yeah, I think I might be watching us lose if we get there.
Yeah, only missed the Newcastle game out of that list.
Don't enjoy the trip anymore, although mainly because of defeat, but we will win there one day, hopefully this will be it.

Although my "record" is the same, one of the most proudest days of being a blade was that Hull match.

When we lost to Plymouth I must say I thought to myself. Can't be going to Wembley again.....

I've got over it now. I will miss the home PO leg due to not being here. But if we manage to overcome whomever it is we face, then I'll be wanting to go to Wembley.

I can understand finances, I can understand people having PTSD from our previous playoff finals and FA cup semi finals. But I'd say that this squad has enough quality in it to do it at Wembley in a PO final.
I also think that for a club of our size we've been "treated" to more than our fair share of FA Cup Semi's and Play Off finals in the past 25 years. Wonder if it's more than other clubs of a similar ilk? And of course none we have won.

When I think back to fairly recent previous PO finals the last one I think you'd feel like this would be the Wolves one. We'd just overcome Forest and aside from Windass had a nearly full complement of players.
Burnley we had barely any strikers and Huddersfield losing Ched we had lost our focal point and the team morale was on the floor.

So City had around 42,000 there that day did they ?
You’re right to query that, Pegster.

My recollection is that we sold just over 32,000 for the Man City game.

City sold a similar number…and MCFC didn’t even attempt to sell 2 entire blocks on the upper tier on the side where the cameras are, and instead arranged to have them covered over with enormous Man City banners.

What was the attendance that day? I'd guess we took around 30k.

It's a forum thing from a minority of people.

I've just looked at sales for the Blackburn match, which effectively carries no league significance it's virtually sold out. Just a handful of tickets here and there.
I've stopped looking at most of these threads they just drag the mood down. Out in the real world people are going and enjoying themselves.

Should hope we sell out, poor if not, if we’re to be a big club need to act like one.
We can't if the ticket office prevents us from acting like one

Luton sold over 40,000 tickets for their Wembley play off final, so did Coventry, and so have dozens of other teams who have never seen a 40,000 attendance in their entire history

And they didn't do it by watching the days and weeks go by sectioning fans off into different loyalty points groups

There's more tickets available than our average attendance so the club owes loyalty to NOBODY

I’d just like to think we have enough fans to fill our half regardless of circumstances
