We should be. We have a team that finished 9th in the PL last season, a number of good young players who should be better next year and have parachute payments. I don't want to hear about how Wilder has left us in such a terrible position. If we aren't competitive next season, it'll be because we sold too many of our better players or because the board fucks up the next managerial appointment.

I will wait and see who our manager, coaching set up, new players and who we keep before having an idea what to realistic expect
The right answer, and hopefully the owners ambition will drive United forward.

If we can reunite Bash, Egan and JOC, we can achieve anything. If the back line breaks up, then I'm worried - we've seen what happens when you lose a settled defence this year.

Yes.

Wish some people would leave off the players tbh. Ramsdale earlier in the season let on that it was affecting him

Ramsdale
Verrips

Basham
O'Connell (fitness depending)
Bogle
Norrington Davies
Egan

Fleck
Osborne

McBurnie
Brewster
Sharp
McGoldrick
Burke

This is the foundation of an outstanding proven Championship team add to that the potential retainment/recalls of

Berge
Coulibaly
Freeman

and a question mark over Norwood

Cut the fat
Moore
Mousset
Rodwell
Lundstram
Bryan
Robinson
Jagielka
Lowe
Stevens
Baldock
Moore
Foderigham

having watched the interview with the price I expect recruitment to come from abroad within Midfield being the main focus as well as defensive cover and I predict top 2.

I've not considered any of the youth making the bench. don't see them stepping straight in without spending a season out on loan and im not sure on Slaters progress at Hull.

Ive enjoyed the 532, but CW came unstuck by sticking rigorously to it when he no longer had the personnel to do so. I can see a move to 4-1-2-1-2 unless we recruit a wide forward in which it could be 4-3-3 but eith 4-3-3 i don't see room for McBurnie and Brewster who will get 35-45 goals between them next season. with players we have registered at the club I could see this
