Thanks fella. I love the first one which I think sums up why I, and a few others on here, like Villa Park. They've modernised the Holte End yet have kept the original facade and while my mate was stuffing his face with a cheeseburger, I took the picture with my phone.

Blackheath Blade, it's on match-days that shots like that remind you why football is so important to communities throughout the UK. For anyone who has an attachment to their local team, it's the equivalent of going to church. That might seem a bit extreme, but it's where we go to keep the faith, where that faith is tested (and every Blade throughout the land will have had their faith tested for decades), and where we hope for something miraculous to happen. It's why we're all so passionate, why we have divided opinions, but ultimately, why we continue to follow our team through thick and thin. As I said mate, a great photo that captures so much about what it means to be a fan. UTB

Great post mate. Very generous comments you made, and I know everyone here will appreciate your observations. As for Wednesday, their correct names are either Pigs, Grunts, Wendy or the Arrogants. They all take medication before each home game, watching their team sink lower and lower is making them delusional as they consider their once Massive status.

villa loyalist, think Lambert's days are numbered. I remember the team that won the European Cup, so you've great memories to remind you of what should be. Always one of the great clubs in my book, a proper club based on working class loyalties. Walking past the terraces towards the ground you get that sense that this is what football was meant to be.

Take care mate, and I hope you get a manager worthy of the club.....thinking about it, you'd do far worse than go for Mackay, think he'd be a good fit for you guys UTB

no worries mate. I suppose it was unrealistic for any blades fan to give Wednesday{pigs} any credit as a club. like us villa fans giving that piss poor excuse of a club from across our city any respect. as regards to lambert im sticking with him at moment like a lot of villa fans are but the patience is wearing thin. were very difficult fans to please so the fact that were still with him says it all. one thing us villa fans know is that we are one of the original great clubs and have history that is second to none. villa park has an aura about it and it is a proper football ground, were all very proud of our ground even though it is in a shit hole and even worse so that hardly anyone in aston goes to the villa, as its many a muslim area and other immigrants
