Its controversial, but if I was in charge of football in England I would do away with transfer fees all together, have a maximum contract term of 2 years for all players , have limits on playing squad size (25 including youth players), have a 1m salary limit (for the PL) on players who play less than 500 minutes in a season. The best players end up at the best clubs anyway, it would be a lot better if we just removed all the friction in the system and created incentives for players to seek out playing time.

The trouble is that English football isn't a closed ecosystem like the NFL, and your suggestion would see most players fuck off to Europe very quickly

Feels very much like a DCL scenario. Still very around the edges but move to a premier league club with cat A academy and top coaches and training facilities and could really flourish.

Personally wouldn't be letting him go anywhere, he's in front of Jebbison in my opinion. Osula should be in and around the first team he's got a bit of pace and has the frame to hold the the ball as well

Difficult one to judge because for every DCL there’s a Jordan Slew. Every purchase and sale are a punt. If we take say £8m for Osula that may prove to be great business for us or terrible there’s no way to guarantee either scenario.

That might be the type of deal if we we’re coming off the back of years in league 1 like with DCL. Thankfully that’s not the case an Osula is a highly rated prospect at a promotion chasing championship side that adds quite a few million to his price tag.

2 decent options for the lad tbh. Warne is a great man manager. Not sure we will be directly competing with Rotherham this season, albeit in the same league (hope not anyway ). Jebbo seemed to enjoy working with JFH and enjoyed a healthy return at that level.
