Wilder has long since departed the building, it's Slavs responsibility now and but if he thinks he can somehow mould this squad into a free flowing side like he had at Fulham and Watford he's in for a big shock.

This squad of players have been indoctrinated into playing one system of play only and at the Championship level that certainly works. Slav has a choice to make early doors, go back to what works best or bring in a bus full of new players quick to suit his methods.

I doubt the latter option is realistic.
 
I think we need to stop pretending this squad isn't good enough to compete at this level. You don't think other Championship clubs would want Egan, Basham, Berge, Brewster, McBurnie, Baldock etc? How many Championship managers would swap their squad for ours? It's a better squad than the one that got promoted. The manager has to do a better job of utilizing them. Frankly, he couldn't have done a worse job so far.
 
Ramsdale was bought by Wilder agreed ,is he going for a profit?
Well we'll see whether the prince spends the fee on the team NOW ,I doubt it.

The manager he backed in the transfer window and allowed him to sign the players he wanted to sign. Players he then preceded to insinuate weren’t actually good enough in the press.

The players that look timid as fuck in the Championship.

Still doesn’t excuse Wilder wasting it, the Prince also personally guaranteed some transfers that McCabe wouldn’t sanction so you can’t say he hasn’t contributed.
We’ve bought shit at great expense and some people wondered why the board wanted to have a bit more control over how he was spending the clubs money!
Such a wasted opportunity for the club.

Plenty of negative opinions are valid tonight, Verrips was shocking imho and cost us the game alone despite the many other deficiencies.

At this early stage though, despite some undoubted red flags, people need to hold their nerve.

Ohhhhh so you want us to overspend with money we haven’t got and then end up like countless other teams that have ended up in financial difficulty?

Not the Prince’s fault that Wilder can’t spend money wisely.

Wilder always said from the beginning he wouldn’t put the club in financial difficulty. Bit of a contradiction then when he’s crying in the press that he can’t have a blank cheque to sign his championship players.

You understand that football clubs have other running costs than just transfers, right?

There’s also around about £150 million pound sized hole of Premier League money in our incomings in case you hadn’t noticed.

That’s because Villa and Fulham have billionaire owners that can blow us out of the water in terms of wages. What more do you actually want the Prince to do?

The truth is. Wilder assembled a squad that couldn’t compete in a second season in the Premier League. There’s the truth that you don’t want to see.
