Wilder

I remember when we played in the Premiership and Warnock always seemed to play for the draw when we went away from home. I will never forget rocking up at Villa Park near the end of the season and we barely made an effort to get over the half way line, we obviously went their to not lose and subsequently lost 3 nil against a team who's season was over and were there for the taking. I think we'd have stayed up on goal difference if we'd have conceded less than 3. I knew we were down after that game.

Moral of the story... be careful what you wish for and Wilder knows much better than you so just enjoy the ride. Wouldn't you rather lose having had a go, than just parked the bus for 90 minutes anyway ?

Fortune favours the brave !
The way that game has been rewritten in the minds of bladesfans to justify their hatred of Warnock is one of the best examples of the power of social media and how it can mislead

Personally, I find his "Must win at all costs" attitude uncomfortable. He does not understand the word dignity, and his comments often show a lack of respect for opposing managers and teams
Maybe being from the wrong side of Sheffield (Stocksbridge) is the reason for this?
Everybody wants to win, so did John Harris. Say no more!

Hmmm, your first post, 2 convenient Blades legends as your username even though at 60 you weren’t even born when Hagen played and you use the post to slag Wilder off for something he doesn’t do.

I’m calling Pork
.

Strange because in his post match interview I'm sure he was respectful to Derby and Lampard and correct here I maybe wrong, but did he not also say Derby deserved to win?

I saw no lack of respect last night so not sure why you felt the need to post this thread now?

United don't possess the players to just turn up and win by default.

Wilder's right, in that to beat Durby players need to be 8-9/10, and they weren't.

100% commitment and creating 8 chances to score a goal is the only way it can be done on the budget he's been given.

Did you have to look up the names Hagan, Currie and Harris on Wikipedia during an home work break?

I smell Pork.

With a first post as bad as this, I’m expecting the next to be a plea for someone else’s loyalty points for the game against the pork.

Please show where this "Win at all costs" comment has been mentioned? Winning per se is to be applauded, but not at all costs.

I think the OP is either misinterpreting our manager or choosing to cause a problem.
Yep strange post that one,Wilder wants to win every game! that's his job in it

We'd be a pretty shit team if we didn't go to win at all costs cos we can't defend for toffee.
Wilder's approach to games is fantastic, using midfielders and "wingers" as defenders and putting them in the opponents penalty area so that they can score and create goals is an amazing idea
We need a unique style of play to be famous for and I'm glad it's this style, although some crap Premier League club will probably adopt it soon and it will become their unique style

Bet its sat there tossing itself off to a picture of Tango as it reads the comments. Sad fucking pig. Not worth a read, but gotta be done just for form's sake.

First Post. Tells you a lot. Don't waste your time.

Descending into a slanging match after a pathetic first post on the forum, if you’ve been going since 67 you’ll have seen David Wier, Nigel Adkins, and Bryan Robson manage our team, and you’d be thanking your lucky stars like the rest of us for the lad from stocky.

Stinking of pork...

Not sure why you’d make this comment after Saturday’s game, we retreated 15 yards from kick off in the 2nd half to get a point. More of a don’t lose attitude than must win. You confuse me. Subs were striker for striker and attacking midfielder for central midfielder. We then go 2-1 down and bring a striker on to try and get a draw.
