Personally, I find his "Must win at all costs" attitude uncomfortable. He does not understand the word dignity, and his comments often show a lack of respect for opposing managers and teams
Maybe being from the wrong side of Sheffield (Stocksbridge) is the reason for this?
Everybody wants to win, so did John Harris. Say no more!

That’s rather a poor first post. Wilder definitely has dignity, and he’s usually full of praise for our opponents, certainly in the build up to each game.

Please show where this "Win at all costs" comment has been mentioned? Winning per se is to be applauded, but not at all costs.

I think the OP is either misinterpreting our manager or choosing to cause a problem.

Gerroverthissen! CW/AK have oceans of respect and dignity for others. His win at all costs is what made us League 1 champions with 100 points. Where do you think we would be without his “never say die” attitude?

I think the OP will fit in well with those fans of ours who suffer from Brentforditis and those who will pleased if we avoid relegation this year.

You have a strange definition of the word dignity - maybe it's you who doesn't understand the meaning of the word? Being true to yourself is a key component of being dignified in my opinion.Of being 'worthy of homour and respect'. I think he calls it as he sees it. I'd much rather have that than a pr man, repeating platitudes. Was Adkins dignified, or was he bullshitter? The only time I've heard him lay into anything or anybody external to our club was Norwich city last season. Quite frankly, that was the dignified response on that ocassion.

I remember when we played in the Premiership and Warnock always seemed to play for the draw when we went away from home. I will never forget rocking up at Villa Park near the end of the season and we barely made an effort to get over the half way line, we obviously went their to not lose and subsequently lost 3 nil against a team who's season was over and were there for the taking. I think we'd have stayed up on goal difference if we'd have conceded less than 3. I knew we were down after that game.

Moral of the story... be careful what you wish for and Wilder knows much better than you so just enjoy the ride. Wouldn't you rather lose having had a go, than just parked the bus for 90 minutes anyway ?

Fortune favours the brave !

I think you should probably follow junior football where scores don't count and everyone is a winner.

Wilders job Is to win football matches. He gets sacked if he dosent. You are either a WUM or a member of the seniors snowflake association.

Or, the OP is from the wrong city??
Heart on sleeve manager, 100% blade, one of our own, born and bred.
Are you sure your talking about the right man??? He's brought our club back from 6 years in the wilderness of league 1, in his first attempt!!, then in our 1st season in the championship, we finish 10th on one of the lowest budgets, and now we're joint top with more wins than any other team in the league, he's also brought the supporters back and on the whole, given us some brilliant football to watch, and I for one am glad he says it like it is, he is a yorkshireman afterall!!

I also find it very disrespectful that he wants to win games. Scumbag.

Do you have any examples to back up your outrageous and ludicrous claims ?

Seriously?

That’s your first post?

Come on, at least put a bit of effort in at trying to pass as a Blade.

Try a bit of mild criticism of your team and post mildly complementary posts about the Blades in general. I don’t know, maybe about half a dozen.

Then hit us with it.

With a bit of luck most won’t be as thick as you and totally fall for it, and be starting a ‘Wilder out’ campaign before you can say Sheffield Wednesday fans are really sad bastards.
