Talking about Jim, I have listened to a few of his morning shows and god I want the Irish lad back. How much of an utter twat Jim White must have been before he stopped drinking

Yeah he doesn't half waffle on
Wish Colin would do a rival show even if it was just a podcast

".......plus the expected appearance of The Star cub reporter at newsagents throughout South Yorkshire, you know, whatsisname, the one who never misses a scoop and shows dedication to the truth, whether it's being first with the facts and that includes guaranteeing images that are correct and not misleading"

What happened to solidarity in the industry eh?

The more 'noise' there is the sooner Wilder gets to know his budget for this summer and the bigger it will be.

i am blades like him, but this could be the difference between having a comfortable life style and providing for your family, and been a millionaire and providing for the next 3 generations.
he's a Sheffield working class lad which may work in our favour, but it may work against us - how often does that opportunity present itself?

Thankfully, not all managers think purely of 'providing for your family'. For them, it's about realising where your spiritual home is, enjoying going in to work in the morning and realising the reciprocal love that is there with the fans.
Why else would multi-squillionaire Alex Ferguson carry on into his 70s? His future and his family's are sorted. He's got a (more than) comfortable lifestyle. He could go and vegetate on the golf course. But the 'buzz' wouldn't be there. Same with Wenger. CW has that indefinable 'fit' with the Blades - much like Klopp at Liverpool.

Most managers - Steve Bruce for example - just see the job as a wage and will fuck off as soon as somebody else offers them more money. I don't think Chris is built that way. He's got plenty of time left to move elsewhere and realise that the grass isn't always greener. He's probably already a millionaire but where does it end? Pull up in your Range Rover and the bloke next to you has got a Lamborghini.

The first time I saw CW was on a sunny day just prior to the 2016-17 season. I was walking along Shoreham Street on a midweek lunchtime and Chris was hurrying across to the chippie. He's truly 'one of our own'.

Wilder gets to know his final budget when the ownership situation is settled. Not before.

Individuals deluded in the belief that they can affect things via a forum need to stop thinking they're important in the big scheme of things and sit and wait rather than deign to pretend they are knowledgable and can effect change to the legal process. Not even , "l've been told" but simply "l know better".

I can see this happening to be honest. If they tell him there is money to spend he will fancy his chances of getting them out first time and who is more qualified than Chris Wilder.

I would rather he stayed because he’s done a fantastic job but if he goes, he goes. There is nothing to say we will either be worse or better off. We will never know until it happens.

Frankly I didn’t like his comments after the Preston game. Much as I love Chris and rate him as a manager I thought it smacked of throwing toys out of the pram and deflecting having fallen short of his own target (not our target I might add).

I sincerely hope no one takes any notice of you. You will spoil all the fun on here.

"The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who don't have it" George Bernard Shaw.

Or "Absolute rubbish" by ours.

Stick to tearing your season ticket up shtick...

fair point, let's hope so.
i would love you to be proved right, and i look forward to the interview on look north when CW says "yeah i turned Sunderland down, they offered me four times my salary and ten times transfer budget, but I'm a blade, end of. This is my club, what i said after the Preston game was a little mardy, irrespective of budget or ownership, as long as the board and fans want me I'm here"
in fact he could end all this bollox and release a statement now. I heard Brendan Rodgers on talk sport say re the Arsenal job he wasn't interested as he owed the board (for the opportunity in the first place) and fans (unswerving support) of Celtic loyalty......

What was your subject matter again?

Oh dear......

Not my subject matter, but yours. Danny, you can't expect me, or anyone else, to believe that you can't recall incorrectly placing a photo of Hillsborough in a piece you wrote about Bramall Lane? Especially as it's not been that long since Sean Thornton raised the same matter, again, with you. Any further memory failures you might have, or advice about what images are suitable for future articles, I'm here if I can help. If it helps, United are red and white.

But he can't. He's in the middle of a game of brinksmanship and the ball is firmly in K.Mac and The Prince's court. Only a fool (or those traitors intent on wrecking Brexit) would show their hand now. Once again, it would appear that K.Mac has proved a poor judge of character and hasn't secured cast-iron guarantees where the 'game changing investment' would come from.

Re. Brendan Rodgers, he's quite happy to be top in a league of one. The Arsenal job would see him found out (as he was at Liverpool) and he knows it, none of this 'Celtic loyalty' nonsense.

Yeah, I was asking about yours?

Depends how bad the situation is at United.
Realistically you'd think it wouldn't be hard to bring Sunderland back at the first attempt and the likelihood is their manager would then have more to spend to try to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Aye 'cos that's exactly how it panned out @ t'Lane in 2011 (& since)

Ah, I'm so used to you being unclear, even evasive, it's difficult to know what you're asking sometimes.

As for me, popular culture.

I wasn’t sure how to be more clear than ‘what was your subject matter?’
