So the contract would have protected the employer by ensuring they get the compensation they deserve. How therefore are they not worth anything? From a legal perspective maybe, but contracts can be bought out quite easily and compensation paid quite easily.
So if he wanted to go tomorrow, he still can irrespective of if he signed a new deal or not.
Quite simple really, even to a journo.
Sorry, don't see how this is Meghan Markle related.
Looks like the ball is in Wilder's court, seems he has got a budget to work with so does he ...........
a, get on with what he has started at Bramall lane and build on it or
b, throw away his principles and go to Sunderland for mega bucks, bearing in mind they are in a worse state than we were when we sacked Adkins and he would be working for an owner who he has already walked out on due to a fall out when at Oxford.
Yer good ploy, bribe Wilder with a bit more cash for himself, then maybe he won’t be too bothered about how low his summer budget is.He gets a summer transfer budget carrot anall.

Oh, you cheeky minx.![]()
Depends what’s in the contract. At the very least it means it would be even more expensive for another club to offer him a job just as it would be more expensive for us to sack him.He signed a contract only 6 months ago - how would a new one make a difference other to the finances of Wilder?
What would you want a contract to be? That’s not his football works, it’s how contracts work, and it doesn’t just protect SUFC it also protects Wilder. It’s win/win.We should be rejoicing in this news......
However we all know how football works. A new contract is nothing more than a protection of sufc property. Wilder could leave tomorrow like he could have yesterday, but tomorrow he's worth a few quid more compensation than yesterday. Just a cynical twist on the affair.
Embrace the pessimism - it makes the rest of life seem easy. There is no help available...The minx (and conspiracy theorist) this morning has me wondering if this 'news' has been broken by the club in advance of the new Sunderland owners taking over this week. Therefore any developments from here would put the owners in the clear whilst painting Tufty and Sunderland as the villains...
In the rest of my life I'm a positive can-do kind of guy but where Utd are concerned I turn into a paranoid doom sayer....
I need help!
Season ticket sales up since it was announced? For all the media talk, does anyone have any more concrete evidence that he’s signing s new contract?
That's the movie "Night Fever" summed up in three carrots.
Anyone can be pinched in football but at least this shows that he is reasonably happy with the way forward. We should be rejoicing in this news......
