Peck was absolutely shocking today.Yet Pecks kamikaze mistakes don't get mentioned
Another Wilder failure should have hooked him far earlier.

He’s like a dish of mouldBut he’s a culture carrier…….
Rak-Sayki and Brooks are both inconsistent and average at best. Both run at players, stop, turn around and pass backwards. Neither puts in early passes or crosses, neither makes runs to get beyond players as the ball is played, they always start their runs our side of players static, and both can't take on and beat a defender, they just run straight at them and get easily tackled. Brooks will never be a regular Championship starter for Sheffield United so long as I have a hole in my arse, and Rak-Sayki will not be a regular Premier League player. I don't rate either of them and clearly Wilder didn't or he'd have played them more often.Wilders stubborness and lack of a plan b and to try something new has killed us this season the fact he never used Rak Sakyi and Brooks as a combination said it all about negative tactics
Up shit creekThis season we have lost twice to Leeds, twice to Burnley, won once and lost twice to Sunderland. Those teams will all be struggling to survive next season so where would we have been?
Wilder was given the financial support in the JTW and yet the team couldn't cope with the Oxford,Plymouth,Millwall games. The 2nd half today was negative as if it was assumed we would keep a clean sheet. Wilder will release that the team should have been promoted given the squad he had from the end of the JTW and the league position we were in1. Brooks should bave been up too
2. I don't kno why he woukd would play COH as a stiker.
As for BBD it aas a very poor choice for a DM
3. Wilder was at fault for the capitulation he was far too negative.
Would love know where the hell Rak Sakyi was that game eas crying out for him.
Wilder has pissed me off many times this season and his stubborn refusal to set us up to have a real go and put teams on the back foot for 90 mins has cost us dearly yet again this season.
First half i thought we played very well and should have been out sight.
But in true Wilder fashion he completely bottled it today second half Sunderland were there for the taking and we choked.
His use of subs was terrible yet again and why the hell he brought Seriki on salute it is embarrassing.
No Rak Sakyi was a big loss, cant understand why he wasn't even there it was a perfect game for him.
Chris Wilder only himself to blame it was basic stuff he got badly wrong.
We got 92 points but only 4 of those came from Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds. That's awful! As soon as we came up against teams as good as us, we sunk.We got 92 points and won 30 matches.
Those asking for this mystical young coach who betters that are living in dream land.
If we do replace Wilder, I’m expecting 93 points and/or a win in the Play Off final.
Or are we moving the goalposts if you get your wish?
We got 92 points but only 4 of those came from Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds. That's awful! As soon as we came up agains
Oops, I thought I remembered a draw against Sunderland for some reason hahaWe only got 3 points from all those
I take it you didn't notice that Wilder's negative game plan fell apart when Brewster , and then Hamer, came off the pitch.?Another big fault of Wilder's was starting Brewster
He has done very little to earn that start, and unsurprisingly against decent opposition did absolutely fuck all
Excellent post, Addison, thank you. Fingers crossed for a swift recovery for you.Sat here in hospital after my bypass operation todays result has done nothing to aid my recovery plan lol. What it has is confirmed in my mind the is manager lacks tactical nous. At half time the footballing world acknowledged there was only 1 team in the game. After 75 minutes sky commentary said no Sunderland fan in the stadium can believe they were going to win this game 2-1. Add in earlier stats that teams who concede first in play off finals rarely go onto win the game. Today we have witnessed a cacophony of CW's seasons tactical failures all rolled into an abject second half perfrormance in the clubs biggest game in years. De Bries immediately saw the problem moved le Fe to a 10 and brought on runners in Isidor, Roberts and Watson to expose our weakness to being turned around. The coaching team failed again at the final hurdle and the the decisions regarding substitutions became more bizarre as the game progressed a reoccurring problem all season.
What it also confirms is that any manager who believes that players of the limited capabilities of JLT and Brewster are adequate to start a play off final does not possess the credentials that any new owners would require of a head Coach taking the Club to the next level,
Big decisions are now required from the new owners. The same golden opportunity can not be tossed away again on the back of a coaching team that fails all the tests required to overhaul the off field management of the Club. A new Sporting Director specifically employed to manage recruitment ins and outs and contracts closely followed by a Head of Medical Services should be part of the reset button being pressed now by new owners shortly after thanking CW and dispensing with his services. Failure to do do so will raise concerns about the new owners intent moving forward.
I could name five without a second thought. We will not get a better manager in the championship than Wilder. Be careful what you wish for.
Let's go again next season
He saidWhat did Wilder have to say in his post match interview?
That would join us? & do a better job? Go on...I could name five without a second thought.
This all day longI have only read the first sentence
Sunderland did not get lucky we sat in and allowed them to impose themselves
Blame one man !!!!!!
CooperThat would join us? & do a better job? Go on...
Peck was poor in both semi final games also and tbh had been our of form for last couple games, and I'd have liked to start with Davies in there (youd think wilder would have seen this but nope). I said as soon as first leg finished that we should be going with Davies and holding from 2nd leg onwards to final.Peck was absolutely shocking today.
Another Wilder failure should have hooked him far earlier.
