Good result and happy to beat the Hollywood 12 but the team still feels like an outlier even with other recent positive results. I'll feel better when we achieve a level of consistency with players in their strongest positions. Like wilder said in his presser, long way to go yet. I'm more optimistic as we've seen Donavon play from the start and may have seen a decent way forward with BBD and Ayew.

Let's see who his first team is once more selections are available to better measure this paradigm shift.
BBD will be back on the wing(the wrong one) when"Pat" is back.

They were very poor, for a change,Wilder outwitted Parky. I thought Parkinson has done a good job there but change will be looming as he’s taken them as far as he could. If we had lost, then Wilder would also have been up shit creek.
Give your pumpkin head a wobble.

Still out for me . Wants British only and his tactics are awful in general . Need to change the entire structure. Yes he was shafted in summer but he had frees and loans weeks before window shut to get decent position players in
Load of bollox. O'hare was sold within hours of the window closing. How do you replace him?

I think they'll be well behind Wolves, Boro, West Ham and Southampton at the end of the season. Not saying we're better than them but I don't think they're a great team
Not the point who you think is going to be up there. We've played a current top team away and got a point.

Did you think beating a poor Wrexham team devoid of confidence 1-0 was a barnstorming performance?
It was a good performance though especially 1st half.

I think if fans wanna slate for poor performances they should acknowledge better ones too.

After all, if we end up mostly performing well then the title of this thread would presumably become void? Although I know for some it wouldn't matter if Wilder delivered promotion and an fa cup win. Still needs to go.

And I think we as a team aren't gushing with confidence either. It might be building a bit hopefully though.
Need to build on this.

Absolutely, and I have praised the fact we got 3pts. I just don’t think it warrants scrubbing all the previous performances this club has given us since Sunderland PO final. Not even finishing in autos or playoffs will change my mind that Chris Wilder is not right for the progression of this football club.

This club will never progress with wilders antiquated recruitment model.

Yes. Should have been a wider margin. 1-0 doesn't reflect the chances we had. We restricted them to zero good chances.

Can't you at least admit we dominated a team that spent 32 million quid on players in the summer?

Give your pumpkin head a wobble.
Ah,another Wilder clapper who conveniently forgot the last home match and the previous 18 months worth of garbage. Have a look at Parkys record against Wilder,i think you will find he’s not done too badly. You seem to have been vocal since we played well for 45 minutes and won one. Where have you been?

Did you go?

I rarely single out individual posters, as everyone is entitled to to an opinion, but RandomBlade I have to ask, what exactly are you trying to achieve on this thread, aside from literally criticising fellow fans who dare to have a difference of opinion?

All these “did you go” and “plastic fans” nonsense does nothing other than file up those targeted and drive a wedge even further down the fan base.

You’re a Wilder fan, we get it, but does that mean that everyone who isn’t is therefore subject to your multiple ranting a back? Are you trying to change people’s opinions? Because it’s working less in your favour than you seem to think.

I didn’t go, and I’m not a CW fan. Beating a poor Wrexham side at home by a tap in to an empty net doesn’t move that dial one iota. His tactics have been poor since the 90 point season, his pressers embarrassing, his signings shocking for the most part, and most crucially he’s stubborn, seemingly immune to criticism, and approaches games like he’s got no clue who his best eleven are.

It IS ok to look at the evidence and arrive at the conclusion that while he’s achieved great things previously, he’s nowhere near the same person he was. Strip away the support of Knill, the solid defence of Anel and Soutta, and the creativity of countless players, and he’s badly exposed as having a very rough plan A, and nothing further to add.

If your car broke and a mechanic fixed it once, then broke it several times after, do you keep going back because they fixed it that first time?

It’s madness, and by targeting people of such an opinion you’re actually making the situation worse.

I thought it was the best we had played over a full game all season. First half against Lincoln was fucking dreadful and a lot of the Bristol city game was extremely scrappy.

Peck and Philips played very well in the middle. Ayew and BBD put on an improved performance

Donnovan was excellent for 65 mins

The defence was cool and largely untroubled.

It was far better than Derby.

I’m not going to get carried away though, we’ve deserved to win 3 games so far this season. We can play well one week and then be awful the next. He’s quite reluctantly put Donnovan back into the team.

I don’t think much is actually changing. Hes not being innovative with the system, he’s stuck with a 442 from the 70’s, we weren’t transformed in the summer or in the international break as promised.

The most important part for me though is that I don’t want him presiding over anymore contracts or transfer windows. I’m sick of his recruitment. The structure needs changing top to bottom without him in it for the long term good of the club. Hopefully he keeps us comfortably safe this season, gets a send off and goes with some dignity.

Excellent post!

The thought of us stepping anywhere near the PL with Wilder and his recruitment team buddies having access to another huge ££ warchest is beyond unthinkable.

November
Tue 03/11 19:45 Cha Preston A
Sat 07/11 15:00 Cha Charlton A
Sat 21/11 15:00 Cha Watford H

This is the end of an 8 match run where United have been no worse than a 50/50 with the bookies and sizable favourites in 4.

Tue 24/11 19:45 Cha Southampton H
Sat 28/11 15:00 Cha QPR A
December
Fri 04/12 20:00 Cha West Ham H
Tue 08/12 19:45 Cha Millwall A
Sat 12/12 15:00 Cha Burnley H
Fri 18/12 20:00 Cha West Brom A
Sat 26/12 12:30 Cha Middlesbrough H

We'll know a lot more after these matches. Of that 2nd list, there's only Burnley at home where United will be favourites with the bookies and we've had a nightmare v Burnley recently.

Need points from the next 3 because the real tests start afterwards.

Looking at the fixtures after the Watford game it is hard to see where the next win will come from. Wilderball has form for beating the crap but losing to any decent team in a bit of form.

Some of the posts on here are utterly bizarre

Wilder wanted Donovan to play crap so he could be right about not starting him - what!?

How about a few mitigating facts to mull over.

Having your best players sold out from under you - wiped from history apparently.

No cash for quality replacements - carry on regardless.

Points reduction hanging over you - get on with it.

Ok, I'm a CW fan and always will be and yes he has made mistakes. Who hasn't?

But some of the crap I'm reading on here is just unreal.

You forget deliberately crap team selections because he wants to lose games, get sacked and get a payoff.
