Maltby everyone knows he hasn't BUT do you think its been a good use of limited funds bringing in Rothwell, Jairo, Phillips, Chodhury, Doherty, BBD all slow, aging players (4 playing the same position) when its been obvious we needed athletisism and cover in other areas ?
I do agree on that we are definitely overloaded in CM with similar players, he’s not got all of the signings right no. But with the uncertainty at the moment I just don’t see a good proven manger taking the job, so sacking him wouldn’t help us. Unfortunately at the moment largely down to off the field decisions we are stuck with what we have in my opinion.

The issue today was we shot ourselves in the foot twice for the 2nd and 3rd goal. If they don't score just before HT then we probably go out and continue the dominance we had from minute 20ish.

Need to be starting Phillips now. How many more cameos does he need because Jairo was invisible today and the rest of the centre midfielders we have don't have a clue.

Also Campbell needs to somehow last 90mins or be sold in January because its alright playing well for 45mins but also pointless if you're gassed after 45mins and we have to waste a sub going like for like.

Plenty for Wilder to chew on but plenty for the players to take the blame too.

How are the cult going to explain that one?
He has a free pass. Everything is now the boards fault.

I'm assuming that 'it's Selles fault' won't be overused this season.

But, no. Definitely not Wilder's fault.

I refuse to believe that absolutely no other manager, anywhere, might get more from this lot.

He did his disappearing act on the whistle too. Let the players soak up the applause from the few hundred left. Leadership? Really??

Our manager - him all over.

Yep im not advocating getting rid of him but his pig headedness is costing us on and off the pitch. His focus on bringing in old players who he knows is clearly not working. Playing a slow CDM at right back is clearly not working and has cost us goals in both the last 2 games. They are things many on here foresaw so why didnt he.

Because his 'pig headedness' is his biggest weakness and a major problem for the club.

As expected. Not my job.
Maybe we might ask Des Taylor on that one. Or maybe find someone in the game to consult who sees a poor quality manager and knows the game and who's out there.

Like most decently run clubs manage to do.

But not us. Now tell me why that is? Because that is the root of the issue.

It beggars belief that Wilder only brought in defensive midfielders when we let all our creative ones go. Has he not considered playing Hamza as a defensive midfielder as he is hopeless at RB? If he has no other option play Tanganga there bring in Baptise at CB who has hardly put a foot wrong so far.
To be honest I've seen enough, we sacked Sellés after six games do the same with Wilder, I mean Arbaster on the left, son-in-law favouritism? He has to go.
The owners were right to sack him last summer they just picked the wrong replacement.

He has been forced to sell his best 3 attacking players, and not been allowed to properly replace them, using the free/loan market. This has been against a backdrop of a board that has quite clearly not got any money at all, and we could be subject to a points deduction this season due to the financial mismanagement by our board.

Very few managers of repute will want to take on this poison chalice

once again wilder got his tactics wrong as on tuesday outnumbered in midfield if he wants to play with 2 strikers he can only go with 1 winger we need 3 in midfield to get more possesion 442 is a thing of the past especially when teams play 433 or 4231 he needs to wise up quickly we could have lost both these home games 5 - 1 if it hadnt been for cooper wake up wilder

We should never have brought him back after hecky. It was only the fact that the prince had tossed it in by then that there was no effort made to reset the club with a new ideology.

That was the perfect time to do it as the season was a dead rubber. Give a new manager 6 months to assess the team, bring in a new style of play and culture and then go again in the championship.

As previously stated we had a chance to do it again last season and picked the wrong coach and didn't have a structured plan regarding scouting and recruitment.

This club cannot move forward on or off the pitch without us getting away from wilder for good.

We should see who is out there then.

Yet the pigs found new managers and they were in a far worse state.

Im trying to work out after after each game of watching us but im struggling to work out what our tactics are, and if we even have any?

  1. Are we set up to be an attacking team
  2. Are we more of an offensive team
  3. Are we a counter attacking team
  4. Are we a team of names sent out to 'do what you do'
  5. Are we a .mix of all of rhe above?

We look like a group of lads shoehorned into an 11, with no real idea of what to do. Today was the same as Tuesday, no team should be coming to Bramall Lane and having 15 plus attempts on our goal unless we are set up to be stop attacking and leaving ourselves open.

Sacking him now isnt going to happen but how do we sort out the complete lack of a gameplan?

Don't you worry, we've an international break coming up, it's the new pre-season 👍

Norwich and Middlesbrough managed to replace managers very successfully last season, did they not? Two clubs who, like us, don’t have parachute payments but do have decent budgets for this league.

What is needed is for someone to commence the job of dismantling this well paid but godawful squad that currently looks like a combination of Frankenstein’s Monster and a Heath Robinson contraption that he knocked together when he was pissed.

I can't believe wilder sets up 4-4-2 with this squad.

Devoid of ideas, creativity, flexibility.

The middle of the park is a disgrace. Last two games, one midfielder has been on the toes of the CBs, the other near the strikers. Leaving a massive void for the opposition to enjoy theirselves in.

Don’t agree he should go during this season as no one else is going to do any better with this bunch of slow, Unfit players.

But I do think now this should be his last season.

Keep us up and then enjoy your retirement Chris. Thanks for the memories from that first 5 year spell.

I think some fans believe only CW is capable of getting a team to battle and play for the shirt.

I'm not advocating replacing CW now, but we have to be open to the prospect if things continue like we all envisage.

It's not an impossible squad to work with. It needs some creative tactics, an identify and pattern of play. I'm more than concerned that we won't see any if this under current management.

He ain't going to keep us up this time.
