Let's play a game of you be the manager.

You have a squad of players with only one winger on the books. Do you

A) Pick a formation that needs wingers to make it work and put players out wide on the wing out of position?

B) Choose a formation that suits the players that you have in your squad where players can play in their correct positions?

Give me what Wilder earns and I’ll write you a response.

Wilder has not been the same manager since we got relegated from the premier league.

He went from a forward thinking attack minded manager where we played on the front foot and it was exciting to watch everyone raved over the over lapping centre backs.

Now we have turned into the most boring teams to watch in the championship it is absolutely painful to watch.

Wilder is too obsessed in stopping the opposition at all costs.

What he did against Sunderland in the play off final was unforgivable and a prime example of him losing his bottle.

I don't rate Wilder anymore and personally i do not think he should have came back, we need to stop living in the past and move forward.

We will be lucky to finish higher than last season I have zero faith in Wilder anymore and if there is a god up there we will get some new owners and a new manager.

There is very little to be positive about as a Blade right now.

Completely irrelevant. If you’ve not got the tools to succeed then it’s irrelevant what you earn

Bullshit. Does that give him the excuse to put in a performance like that? No. He’s the manager, he’s paid handsomely to use the tools he got. Show your worth. He’s not. Hence why he’s out for me. Sooner the better.

Spot on

Yeah I agree, get rid of him. The owners have shown they’re trustworthy when it comes to replacing him so I’ve no doubt they’ll sort it & life will be better without him.

There is zero positivity with Wilder at the helm. Let’s be fucking underdogs and have a go. On paper we have a decent squad, on the sidelines we don’t have a manager that knows how to work beyond what he always does. He’s 1 dimensional and yet we keep greasing his bollocks as well as his wallet.

I would rather watch the kids plays under a positive forward thinking manager that sets us to play just like Sunderland did they didn't have the best squad on paper their squad.was one of the youngest and they played with pace and width and had a go.

1pt more than last season, let's wait until the Transfer Window closes and see where we are then with the squad and make additions in the JTW.

He played 4-2-2-2 today.

The owners made a mistake everyone knows that. They won’t make that mistake again. In fact, they won’t need to because I don’t see them sacking wilder. They haven’t got the bollocks unless we keep playing as shite as that for until Christmas.

So what you are saying is that despite signing no one of note and losing 2 of our best players (not Wilders fault), we should still comfortably be strolling past solid sides like Birmingham should we. He’s been given no help and support which is clearly needed what so ever.

No it wasn’t great to watch, but we were solid and managed to grind out a draw which is a hell of a lot better than the start last season.

I could only listen to the match on the radio and to be honest I switched over to BBC 6 god hour.

Most older managers do this, they always go out not to lose in Tony Adam’s autobiography he said George Graham used to tell the Arsenal team just that.

As far as I see it there is a lack of quality in the whole squad, with perhaps a couple of exceptions.
Whether that is down to the owners or CW I don’t know, but no manager can make average players into quality ones.
We can criticise CW on here as much as we like, but the players will not get any better, so why bother criticising ?

The negativity started in the promotion season away at Villa. After we threw away a 3-0 lead and drew 3-3 we became tight until the end of the season and stopped playing with freedom and flair. That continued in the Premier League where he adopted a flat midfield three. We played some good football in the Premier League but it was built around a solid defence that didn't give up much and we were hard to beat.

We only scored 39 goals in 38 games that season which was a warning sign for what was to come after the "greatest transfer window ever," the following season. We failed to score in a lot of games but this went unnoticed as fans were caught up in the mania due to how high up the table we were, and because our inability to score was often offset by not conceding at the other end.

Fans still rave about McBurnie being our top scorer that season and quote it when he's labelled an expensive flop. He cost £17mil and only scored 6 goals. Fleck scored 5 and he cost us nothing. Lundstram scored 5. Mousset scored 6 and he only cost £10mil and couldn't play for more than 60 minutes. McGoldrick scored 8 the following season in our relegation season and he was a free transfer.

I'll never understand why our fans champion mediocrity and accept it as a standard that we should always achieve.

It was indeed shite, didn't really open them up apart from the Bamford chance. No idea what the tactics were. If we have any money I would concentrate on forward players,as we have no pace going forward. I would get rid of Cannon at any price and god knows why they have given Campbell a new contract.

That is exactly it no one i saw commenting on the game could tell how we were actually set up we were all over the shop.

We were far too flat in the midfield O Hare was stifled for the most part he is far better when he is running at the opposition and given licence to bomb forward.

It is not rocket science we did more in the last 10.minutes with One and Burrows on tham we did in the previous 80.

Cannon had absolutely zero service and is wasted in our team and you can guarantee if he goes elsewhere he will get goals.

But we do not play to his strengths playing into his feet in and around the box.

When we do finally get into the box 9/10 we try to walk the ball in rather than having a go.

I would rather Wilder be positive and start with Seriki Donovan bombing down the right and Burrows and O Hare going down the left with with One up top with Bamford.

Let’s end the season now then. Why bother fielding a team at aal

That is exactly what I said the rot started after that game and we never recovered we progressively got worse and the writing was on the wall that if we did not invest we were going to be in big trouble and we never did and it had progressively got worse.

No manager has a magic wand but Wilder used to have a knack of getting more out of players than their talent suggested. That has completely gone now. We need someone who can get a tune out of this squad.

Individually maybe not, but collectively Wilder should be getting more out of this squad than he’s currently getting even after game day 1. Last season’s end wasn’t pretty either. He’s a spent force.

I’m saying Wilder has a chip on his shoulder. He passes blame. Conditions are never right for him and this season will be the same old mardy arse like he’s given up because things haven’t gone his way. Thanks Chris but see ya.
