In his interview post match, Wilder says he thinks we were poor today. Second half maybe but first half we played some excellent football. A little bit tactical of Wilder to stop the players getting carried away at going top?

little harsh but if you watch back first 25 mins of 2nd half i can see his point, we lost shape and constantly gave the ball away, can see why he was frustrated but after he has calmed down he will i'm sure realise barring that period it was a job bloody well done

I agreed with him. We kept giving it away and inviting pressure on. What I like about CW is he says it as it is. Absolutely fantastic bloke. A real legend in the making. Hope so, we've suffered enough since the mid 60's!

I think he called it about right to be honest. I thought by our normal standards we gave the ball away a bit cheaply in the second half. I also agree that his comments might be aimed at keeping feet firmly on the floor.
Whatever, what a win and two lovely goals. Even better as it was against them.

I reckon if you asked the players they'd agree with the gaffer.

Agreed with him fully for 30 minutes of the second half, then we got out act together.

First half (at times) was some of the best football I have ever seen us play.

Funny old game.......

I was suprised at Sir Chris’ comments but totally got it after thinking back to the spell that leeds got control if the game. That said, we rock, actually rock. What a work ethic this team have - they dont give up or give in and I’m so happy that Brooksy has opened the floodgates. Up the blades and I think promotion bus needs booking. I’m even going to buy my mrs a half season ticket so that she can join me and the kids in this blades revolution. Simply lovely. Every blade has been waiting for this for years and its been delivered. Absolutely buzzing.

He was right I thought we were very sloppy in the 2nd half, had that 2nd wonder shot from L**ds gone in then its a different game.

Thankfully Wilder could see it coming and sent Brooks on to save the day.

Chris Wilder has well and truly earned the right to call it exactly as he sees it, and tonight I think he has got it absolutely right. We are much better than our 2nd half performance and that's what pissed him off. Anyway, fuckin great result - I actually believe now that we can do special things this season, Oh, and delighted for Brooks. COYRAWW

Well the game should have been buried after 30 mins so CW is right to make the point at a time where it will stick in the players minds better to make point after a win than a defeat. a good point about the diving and cheating from Leeds who I thought were a set of dirty cunts in the end, they tried every trick in the book to get the win but were beaten by a better side. That said I thought they offered more than the pigs.

I think Chris was expressing his frustration and annoyance at seeing total domination and great football in the first half not being rewarded with goals. Ergo, second half facing a rejuvenated team who possibly feel a bit fortunate, we're only one goal behind, let's press for this. I fully get Chris's annoyance, we should have clear by then.
Great result, magnificent to see the lads top of the table, but a great bit of psycho-team management by the boss.

Thought we were excellent throughout misen. But happy to go along with Chris if he says we were shit :D

I said a few times last season after his interviews that it's a joy to have a manager with higher standards than I do as a fan. Too often do you hear managers making excuses, and the likes of Adkins insisting we just don't understand the game when we're underperforming.

Think he was spot on with his criticisms. We sing about Coutts never giving the ball away but second half he and others did it far too often. Still, we were more than worthy of the victory. That's fourth in the league, away from home, and we're talking about how we should've been better.
