Wilder has changed nothing......

In fact I'd say we are less likely to get back up after relegation than if we'd kept hecky, Jack and Stuart McCall.... discuss....

You attention seeker.

If you can’t see the significant improvement then your a liar but you already know that.

Always makes me laugh out some people are unable to think and apply critical thinking.

For them it’s a simple equation.
We win = we were great, we might stay up
We lose = we were crap, sack the board, definitely down.

Under Wilder we now look a poor PL team/ good Championship team where as before Wilder we didn’t resemble a team, the players played liked they’d just met and you feared every game would be a 5-0 defeat. Games were like watching a league 1 side sometimes even a league 2 side in the cup against PL opposition.

Breaking all the records as the worse top flight team ever is simply not acceptable.

Many of our PL displays under Hecky is the least competitive I’ve seen us in over 50 years. I knew within 10 minutes of most matches that we had no chance and our task was to keep the score below 5.

The results under Hecky were the only positive because I think the performances were far worse.

If he doesn’t get rid of half the dross in the squad this Summer then nothing has changed. A lot of the dross is what he signed to be honest. Will he be ruthless? I don’t know, he says he doesn’t want to their mates, then get rid then.

Most the stats suggest we are a lot better since Wilder came in. A freak couple of own goals and two mistakes by Wes and we would be 4 points better off over the last 3 games and this thread wouldn't be started.
Don’t need stats. If your a sufc fan you watch the games the difference is night and day.

He signed it 4 years ago to be fair too him. Hecky kept them all and gave them new deals. Very hard to blame CW for this.

If he keeps them then it’s all on him.

Whilst it's obvious things have improved since Wilder returned, I don't think he can yet pack himself on the back and say the connection between the fans and the players has returned as he seems to claims.

So yes in the short term we are seeing a bit of an improvement, but its too early to be overly confident that Wilder will be the best option to get us pushing for promotion again next season.

He's perfectly capable IMO, did a tremendous job of clearing out dross last time whilst also realising there were a couple in there that should be salvaged in Coutts and Freeman.

One thing he does need to change apart from 75% of the playing squad is our reliance on 5-3-2 3-5-2 how ever you want to see it. We need to seriously move away from this.

I'm hoping there's a chance to salvage summat here, beyond this season. Sounds like PA and CW patched things up quite quickly actually. Lessons learned both sides? Realism about funding both sides?

Go down with a fight and bloody some noses, with the motivated Wilder who I think most of us wanted to stay last time to finish the job, and then get us back up. Massive respect to Hecky but when it's going as bad as it was you have to act.

We'd have lost 5 or 8 nil today under hecky. Oh yeah like we did against Arsenal and Newcastle.
But didn’t we lose a “very close”game 1-2 at the death only due to a calamitous error last time we played Citeh? And that was under Heck. So not by 5 or 8 nil…?

Yep, I know him and he's after another big payout and it's obvious .... look at the team today
He doesn’t get a payout this time, it’s in his contract if it doesn’t work out the contract can be terminated at the end of the season with no financial consequences to the club.

So what’s your next theory? You actually think he’s fielding a shit team to get the sack?? 🤦‍♂️

Because we’ve got a squad that’s brimming with PL talent & it just needed the right coaching & tutoring so return us to our rightful Champions League status … what’s that phrase about silk purses & sows ears …. I think think you should be directing your angst at the owners not the managers ⚔️

Don’t fall into his trap where he actually gets you to reply. He’s done it to me a few times 😂

I might be missing some nuance here...but I genuinely don't get the meltdown over losing 0-2 to the richest club on the planet. Did anyone really think we'd get anything? Seems to me it was a game to just write off and forget about. It is enormously unlikely that we stay up, but if, by some miracle, we do, we won't do it by getting points away at City.

The Luton capitulation was unforgivable, and horrendous. THAT was the time for anger, and recrimination. Same goes for Bournemouth at home.

As far as I can recall, we lost 0-2 at the Etihad in 19/20, and nobody went apeshit over that and declared it to be some sort of horrendous, season-ruining result. It was just a more or less expected consequence of playing a team who are on an entirely different planet to us in terms of players and resources.

On aggregate we've lost 1-4 to City this season. I've not checked other teams' results, but I'd imagine that there are several bigger and richer clubs than ourselves, who will be on the receiving end of a worse aggregate scoreline against them this season.

Fans: ‘Sack Hecky, sack Hecky…..bring in literally anyone else’, so we sack him and bring in Wilder. Results continue to be shit so we then think Wilder is the problem. Could it be that the players and lack of investment is the problem?
Can we please have a bit less of this............ common sense is not welcome here 😉

It's a pig on the wind up mate..

He's described unitedites as "brainless biased retards" on another thread..

Just gonna watch him implode, but if somehow he doesn't get chucked out into the gutter, he's going on ignore sharpish..
