Resigned and given up more than two years of big money at championship level. That's the integrity of the man. My view is they've been trying to force him out in preseason to save the cash from his pay off, and CW has just resigned and saved them the bother. That's the integrity of the bloke. You wouldn't catch me doing that; I'd be taking some of the riches I made with me. He's got out of what is a pretty toxic working environment from the top down. What's worrying is that if he has walked, it's obvious that any long term plan has gone out of the window.

So any new manager coming in is unlikely to have money to spend next season, have their best players sold and training facilities not adequate enough.

Why else would he walk?
