On mi way to dental hosp, gidds on RS basically said he has left, but no details yet

The negotiation tactic spouted in the press yesterday makes a bit more sense now i guess.

Agreed, people who saying they're done with the club now are just throwing out cheap talk or were never really blades. We support the red and white wizards no matter who's in charge, no matter who the board is. Let's mourn and move on! 💪
Shows how wrong it is when we are basically mourning this !

I get that's he's given us some of the best years we've known as Blades.

But if you fell in love with a lass, had a few brilliant years and then she suddenly went mental and started trying to slit your throat whilst you slept, you'd bin her off.

What if he's obstinately refusing to compromise on the direction of the club? His recruitment, his tactics and his stubbornness have cost us this season. If he's refusing to change that, why shouldn't the owner sack him? If I did that in my job I'd be shown the door without any payoff at all.
All about opinions
HRH said he deserved the opportunity to take the club back to the PL
HRH knows the parameters CW operates to, so why say what he said if HRH now wishes to operate differently? Furthermore, if CW says he can’t accept HRH new criteria I would’ve expected him to walk not be sacked.

Time will tell

It’s nothing to do with our opinions though. We don’t know what’s gone on with the Prince and Wilder, who promised whom what, and so on. We can only surmise.

I'm angry with the board but maybe we need to consider other reasons.

Has he been agitating for the sack knowing another club wants him?

Already heard two rumours today of where he's going.

If you’re going to sack him at least do it when there was time to save the season, it’s pointless now so obviously some sort of fall out.

To be honest, I reckon Wilder will be happy to leave. I think he’s wanted to be sacked for a while so he can bank a nice amount of cash and take a break from football.

The scary thing is that, on paper, there is no realistic option (Rafa Benitez, Eddie Howe aren't coming) that is better than Wilder. And, based on recent events, there is every chance that the board will be looking for a yes man. Welcome Alan fucking Pardew.

I have a horrible feeling it will be frank lampard

Someone I know did mention this a few days ago to me and I chose to not believe them...

Same person also said that we're looking for a BAEM manager as his successor so I don't know what to make of that either.

Thoughts?

My gut feeling tells me you're onto something there.
I think the prince wants a big name , and a young up and coming forward thinking manager, whilst frank isn't a big name in management he is one of the biggest in terms of playing career, I've just shuddered at the thought of frank with uncle Harry as his number 2.........and Niko krankjaer in our midfield

I have always loathed Talk Sport.
Trust these lot to break the news.
A sad day. 🙄👀🤕😢
The prince gives them exclusive telephone interviews on the regular I’m not surprised it’s them. And it’s also not a good thing he does that.

We don’t know who is available outside the UK
There are enough foreign managers in the the Championship who are doing ok, but without the squad and money that we should have

Resigned and given up more than two years of big money at championship level. That's the integrity of the man. My view is they've been trying to force him out in preseason to save the cash from his pay off, and CW has just resigned and saved them the bother. That's the integrity of the bloke. You wouldn't catch me doing that; I'd be taking some of the riches I made with me. He's got out of what is a pretty toxic working environment from the top down. The replacement is by definition a yes man or he wouldn't be the next man. See the pigs and the manager that have turned them down. That's us now.
Fair enough. I'd read initially that it was by mutual consent which is obviously different to walking away. Still gutted.

I'm not remotely confident on the next appointment I have to say.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if it's a 'name' or someone to promote the Prince and his United World.

After praising him so far I'm now getting uncomfortable that its all going McCabe-ish.

I remember when we had Robson, we played at Bristol City lost 2-0, I was in a pub in Whitley Bay swearing at TV & Robson boy he was clueless.

The worrying thing is - Wilder's demands were backing & training ground improvements. It's obvious the Prince doesn't have a pot to piss in and won't back him on either demand. Beginning of a slide back down this. Pretty sure a lot of our players will be working on their exit strategies as we speak..

It’s got to be the director of football thing , there is no way wilder would work like that

Every sound coming out of the club has indicated that the parachute payments are earmarked for paying off the mortgage on the ground, that we have fuck all to spend and that it's looking like quality loans/keeping our squad is our way forward next season.

What do we do? Sack a man with a proven track record of putting together competitive sides on a budget in the EFL, rapport with current Premier League managers who trust is with their loaned talent and, crucially, rapport with our current squad.

The next man will be a yes man. I've absolutely no doubt about it.

First name I saw floating around was Neil fucking Lennon. Great. Deep joy.

Fucking sickening decision, particularly when it seems like what Wilder wanted was:
a) discussed and agreed upon
b) sensible and progressive for SUFC

We'll wait for the dust to settle, but for now, this is all just fucking shit.
