Pure suicide. All Wilders boys will leave and we’ll need a huge fucking overhaul of players now. Great.
Who the fuck can we get in??! My guess it’ll be some foreigner we’ve never heard of who will be gone by Christmas.

Perhaps the board want this overhaul to have a better chance of surviving in the PL should we get promoted next season

Wilder has secured legend status, anyone who says otherwise can fucking do one, sadly football is a results driven "business" I just hope the prince has a decent candidate to be his replacement. Wilder is ,in my opinion the best manager I have seen at the blades (1990- present day) and will be a huge miss, however the world keeps turning and we will rise up from this , keep the faith and thank you chris

I’m told he’s been sacked. If that is true then I’m sorry HRH you’re a ****
What if he's obstinately refusing to compromise on the direction of the club? His recruitment, his tactics and his stubbornness have cost us this season. If he's refusing to change that, why shouldn't the owner sack him? If I did that in my job I'd be shown the door without any payoff at all.

Does this board remember why we are in the Premier League, and who got them there?

It sure as hell wasn't them and their game changing (think Liverpool) money. We'd still be twatting around in League One if it was just that!

As brilliantly as Wilder has done during his tenure (perhaps too well for his own good!), it must be considered that nobody is bigger than the club.

There are lots of rumours around disagreements within the club and people can take whoever's side they want.

If it is to end imminently, then CW leaves the club with everyone's thanks and best wishes. Personally, I look forward to seeing how the Board intend to take the club forward - the new appointment will be crucial.

We will look back at this decision as a HUGE mistake. This is the beginning of the club returning to mediocrity.

If we get a decent calibre of manager in and “have a go” IE keep all our best players and still invest in the squad, then we can’t complain really.

Watch Hecky win a few games and get the job permanently

It might be fine, maybe.

I didn't want him gone, but it's hard to deny that the Wilder we grew to love, and the attitude he always brought to us haven't been there for the best part of a year. Almost everything that made him a success he sacked off and took the opposite aporoach.

I thought he might get back to himself in the Championship though.

What a way to start the weekend, just waiting for England to lose to India and France today and tomorrow!!!! its a crazy absolutely gutted.

Is the bar open yet??

Before everyone blames the board for pulling the trigger, I think this has been coming for a few months. I think Wilder has been agitating and had realised he needed a change too. Sometimes things run their course and people stop listening / responding to the same voice saying the same things. His frustration and the strain on him has been clear.

I’m feeling very sad that it’s coming to an end and that we’ve been unable to play our part in supporting him and the team this season. Good luck Chris and thanks for the memories!!!

Probably need to keep my powder dry until the facts come out but just when we needed stability we've done exactly the opposite.

How have the board managed to fuck this up so badly.

Probably Wilders ego won’t allow anyone to lessen his authority and influence at the club.
Wanting to appoint a director of football is a valid arguement....however Wilder probabably interprets it as the beginning of the end
so he’s jumped ship with his self respect in tact.

Wilder is a legend who gave us our club back but I’ve said before he’ll only be really appreciated after he’s gone.
It will be those calling for his head....that will now be criticising the Prince for sacking him.

The negotiation tactic spouted in the press yesterday makes a bit more sense now i guess.

Agreed, people who saying they're done with the club now are just throwing out cheap talk or were never really blades. We support the red and white wizards no matter who's in charge, no matter who the board is. Let's mourn and move on! 💪
