Wilder - Get Rid Now, or After Last Game

How about this? If we had replaced Selles with Lincoln's manager instead. Would you be demanding they were sacked now? Of course you wouldn't.

Personally no, I’d give a different manager more time. The difference with Wilder is that he has been at the club for 10 years off and on, he also managed the majority of our currently squad for 2 seasons (minus the Selles matches obviously).

Wilder doesn’t get a complete new manager reset on the basis of a few months away.

It’s a good question but the nub of the issue for me is that, whilst Wilder has had to work with a squad of players he probably wouldn’t have picked himself, we’re still seeing similar tactics and traits to previous years.

I’ve got loads of respect for Wilder, he’s been amazing over the years but I do think that time has or is coming to an end. I don’t think we’d ever go backwards under his leadership but don’t think we’ll move forward either.

A new manger in this scenario should be given time to implement their methods and culture, and also have a preseason to work with ‘their squad’.

Wilder V1 was innovative and inspiring. We were more often than not the underdogs, and he can motivate players well in that scenario. We are no longer the underdogs, and I think we’ve struggled with that, seeing more tactical astute managers getting the better of him.

Now that is decent question to consider. Rather than the “any other manager would have got this squad promoted/in play offs” and the opposite sides promises of success next season with CW in charge hokum.

Whilst the sensible answer is of course no he wouldn’t, it’s a bit more complicated than that.

Claims either way for Wilder mean nothing as things stand until we know how much he will be backed.

I’m waiting for Mr Wilder to sign Phillips. If it happens it will surely mark the end of his managerial career at Utd as well as financially cripple us.

How do you know? How do you know what he'll be on?

That's the problem.

Wilder couldn't have signed as many shit players as Selles.AI. Bord.
Or reduced the team into looking like they they didn't even know what sport they were supposed to be playing.
'Just move the ball vertically' but in a horizontal direction and without leaving the ground.

Keeping Jack Robinson would have been better than the defenders which AI chose..

Wilder got 92 points last season (PA got 90) we were short up top, McB and Bamford were the solution.

Now we need a defence.
Sorry but my one saving grace this season was getting shot of JLT. An increasingly unhinged player trying to make up for his lack of talent and if rumours are true a terrible influence in the dressing room.

You post absolutes as if your opinions are actually facts. IE “Wilder couldn’t have” Keeping Robinson would have been better” etc. well, CW, yes he could and JR, may not have been. We can’t know because it didn’t happen. Those aren’t reasons for keeping him. Or for that matter are opposite style claims for sacking him.
