I've nothing against people of my age (mid 60's) enjoying Northern Soul today and re-visiting their past but one of the most cringeworthy spectacles is to see a clip of them on You Tube.

Just enjoy the moment without the need to show the world.

I know what you mean lol some of those wobbly videos shot on someone's crappy phone in the function room in some random run down ex mining village with the old boy with his arthritic hips are a bit depressing.

Them old uns still feel that beating rythem but them legs don't do what the brain's tellin em anymore.

Look on Facebook. Using the"live" app, people were "djing" from there own homes and broadcasting it. Long before this pandemic hit us.

This clip is from the video to the song called "Familiar Feeling" by female singer Moloko, she's the one in white. Paddy Constantine is also in the video. It's a modern day take on the northern scene back in the day. Loads of northern tracks on YouTube have been set to this video or clips from it have. There's only a limited amount of real footage from the Casino.

No problem Paisley, i never use the comment myself usually but i don't get having a go at the original poster at all.
