Why it has to be Newcastle

Unfortunately the best we can hope for is 18th which I think we will get, it gives us a few hundred thousand pounds extra than finishing bottom.

As Deadbat said, sadly we have left ourselves far too much to do. The teams outside the relegation places have all shown in recent weeks they are capable of picking up the odd win here and there which will make it virtually impossible for us to overhaul them. You really can’t take 2 points from the first half of the season and expect to survive. Any improvement in form will help build confidence for next season and may help us climb off bottom, but sadly it will be nothing more than that.

Newcastle are fast becoming my most disliked team. They are the luckiest club in the division, with a fat cheat as a manager.

And is there a player with a more punchable face than Almiron? Which is made worse by being one of the worst for feigning injury and diving

I'm on it mate.
The draft copy still includes the Geordies, but also now has us, Fulham, WBA, Burnley, Brighton, Wolves, Palace and Southampton in the mix.
If Leeds, Arsenal and Spurs don't win their next game, I might just drag them into it as well.

All the analysis in the world is pointless

All we have to do his get 35 to 38 points or it's all meaningless

If we get to 38 points its 95 per cent certain we will stay up on previous final prem tables

Up to now only 6 clubs are more or less safe mathematically

Stop torturing yourselves guys, we are going down. Just enjoy it the ride for the remainder of the season. Hope we can go back up next year
Hang on a cotton-pickin' minute here Gavlar my good man. How come you can hope we go up next year and be torturing yourself but I can't hope we can stay up this, eh?eh?

Because we are too far away from our opponents to stay up. We only started playing at half way through the season.
Next season we start again from scratch.

I think a better approach is how far we can push back the date we are mathematically relegated. If we lost every game and the worst possible results for other teams went against us, what date would we be relegated?

Aaahh, but our best players might disappear elsewhere in the summer, the prince might sell up and run off with the money and we might get taken over by a charlatan (who's a secret Wenesdayite) who's only interest is to take us down.
Best start hoping we stay up mate, just in case :)

I hope we will stay up but realistically we won’t. Even if we lose players we have a great chance of going back up.

You cant trust the top teams to field a strong squad at season's end unless they are still in the running...
Ref: See ManU v Shammers last time, and Liverpool v someone else who I cant quite remember but who was at the bottom with us? Liverpool gave them an easy ride.
Each place in the final league table is worth about 1.5m more than the place below it

Could be The next phase of this ridiculous season will work against us. Like today mid table cruising teams in empty stadiums will be beaten by very energised teams and players looking at a real threat of relegation. Burnley Newcastle Brighton Fulham are going to do the opposite of collapsing as we approach the end of the season and pick up loads of points. no fans, crazy results, more away wins than home wins, it’s a fake premier season. people will talk of us being one of the best teams ever relegated as we too crush teams above us But won’t close the gap. It’s just all bullshit and don’t worry Blades and the Bramall Lane effect WILL BE BACK ⚔️⚔️⚔️

Despite their ridiculously spozzy victory / Southampton's abject effort last week, I'll be interested to see how they fair the next 2 months.

Callum Wilson is out for 6 weeks. He's been the one to rescue them on a number of occasions.

They create few chances as it is. Wilson is top of goals scored with 10 and also assists with 5.

We're so far behind though but they could easily be the team to sleepwalk into a relegation battle, though it is still hard to believe with how poor they are that we find ourselves having registered 4 fewer victories and 6 more defeats.

Saint-Maximin comes back with an assist and a goal, this is why Newcastle won't go down..

What a signing Joe Willock has been for Newcastle on loan. Scored 3 late goals in the last weeks earning them 5 points 🤣

Its about 3m extra for finishing 18th instead of 19th

Seem to be getting better as the season ends.. Remember a few saying they were worst than us. Got some right quality in attacking areas.

Heck was saying apart from personal and club pride we also have finances to play for apparently finishing in 19th gives us an extra 1.8 million so 18th should be about 3 million more
