Why didnt we bring Mcburnie back?

Still amazes me how we get rid of players who give a fcuk and keep players who don’t and how we sign players who are simply not good enuff hopefully the dross on the field will actually start giving a shit like the fans

I feel like we got rid of McBurnie at exactly the wrong time. Since settling down with a Mrs and a kid, he seems to have adopted a much more mature and serious attitude towards his work without losing any of his character. He looks fit, he's playing well and seems to be available for every game. There also doesn't appear to be any tabloid or social media controversies following him.
Shame really.

He's been available for 108 of his last 131 league games. 82.4%

Listed in Championship top scorers McBurnie (2nd top), Moore, C. Morris, J. Windass all on there too, these are all players who played for us or we could've brought in for naff all.

The striking department has been badly neglected this year. We've finally signed some depth in quality of CB's after years, but then we weaken the midfield and attack.

Shocking.

Agree with most of this. We have signed CBs but the impact has been neutral I would suggest and not really an upgrade, with Tanganga offering perhaps more defensive solidity than Anel but much less goal threat. Mee realistically is a like for like experienced and slow centre back replacement for Robbo and only a one season signing. Zatterstrom could be really interesting but is young and obviously not fancied. So we have spent £10m in that area, not improved the team really and probably botched a fair bit of that spending too!!

The problem with buying or keeping more strikers is that we have zero creativity behind them and we only ever want one of them on the pitch at a time for some bizarre reason.

It’s no coincidence that when strikers go to clubs with service, that they score more goals.

We are a wasteland for strikers in our current setup.

He's got 4 so far at Hull, including 1 today and Lundstram scored for them. Egan scored last week for them as well. They've got our Spine and we got their Spain (manager) Bring Mcburnie back please Chris. Break the bank for him, Lundstram and Egan. 40 million should do it.
What’s Billy up to ? 🙈

McGuiness seems alright too. We have better strength in depth for sure. I liked Anel but he could be suspect at time, maybe his goals cancelled out his mistakes leading to goals. Tanganga looks the better defender to me.

Our recruitment pretty much everywhere else has been abysmal. We sold an experienced combative midfield destroyer and signed.... Two unproven kids. Our midfield has a gaping hole in it.

Anel & Tanganga is a better pairing
Than Tanganga & MM.

Anel was a very good defender …. Look where he’s playing v where we are now

Choudary was a much better RB than we currently have.

Overall our defence is weaker than it was last year.

Overall our midfield is weaker

Overall our attacking options are weaker

It’s not hard to see why we are where we are…

Yes we have more depth but it really is quantity not quality

we are where we are due to Selles poor training and tactics , Wilders having to purge the shite we were playing
we were creating nothing

we out possessed hull had more shots and more touches in the box but a penalty miss cost us at least a point
thing are improving , but its taking time, but the shoots of recovery are showing

all the players we brought in were just looking worse because there was no plan, no one had any idea of the formation to use

Then all Wilder needs to do is to tell Hamer, Campbell and COH to forget what Selles said and play a bit more like last season…

Since we're discussing bringing back former players, Oli Norwood would still be our best central midfielder if he returned.

Selles told him he isn't his type of player so he would be sitting on the bench. So he went to Hull as they said he would figure in their plans.
