Newcastle away certainly isn't pitch level so don't know why this is a consideration?Have to start at pitch level anyway don't they?
BLLT does, PPC doesn't.

There's the gap between it and the Kop, which I don't get? Maybe it's for access to some part of the Kop that needs to be checked, like the pillar, don't know but it's ugly, and if it isn't for inspection reasons, it should have butt right up against the Kop so that there'd be more useful seats.
It's just a reyt state.
Ive been in the corner stand and there’s no gap, it goes right up to the Kop.
Agree it’s not ideal but I assume the plan was to increase capacity, even if only by 900.
What would you have done? Left it blank and have a lower capacity.
If they could remove the pillar and the wall, every seat would offer a really good view up there.

Oh you mean Manchester United? Don't think away fans are in the heavens anymore
You're obviously a lot more arsed about it than I am, then. At least some away fans in the Prem have to be seated pitchside, Newcastle have an exemption from that. Either Man United have one too, or have some fans seated pitchside.10 seconds research on the seating plan disagrees.

Thanks, John. What do you do for a living?Good that you don't need to actually research before writing for a living isn't it?
You should consider working for a shit failing provincial rag.
Have a lovely day.
Do you know why Newcastle get this dispensation?. St James Park will be a new ground for me next season,I do hope the lifts are working!!Good that you don't need to actually research before writing for a living isn't it?

That bird you mention, you need to keep an eye on her, she’s bonkersDivide my time between ruling the North, defeating the Night King and shagging a real fit bird who keeps dragons mate.

yeah Danny pulled that question on me when we had a brief discussion, found it amusing when I told him what I did. Of course that was what I do now as I'm retired I've also been a project manager, avionics engineer and technical author to name several other jobs in 35 years of work. Left it because it said more about him that he felt superior as a journalist!Divide my time between ruling the North, defeating the Night King and shagging a real fit bird who keeps dragons mate.

That’s the bottom corner of the TC and John Street netted off then, what’s that about 500 seats taken out of use,add in the rows above in the BLUT taken out of use for ‘safety reasons’ ,good old SAG/SYP“Following a number of meetings of the stadium Safety Advisory Group, the Local Authority formally agreed not to support any move of away supporters from their current location, concluding that such a relocation would introduce a significant risk to spectator safety.
Newcastle SAG got them the dispensation to avoid pitch side away fans. So SAG over rules Premier League. Expect the same level of segregation to be in place at the Lane next season, at least we may get the whole of the BLUT.

Looks decent from outside, inside it's just bizarre, when there's so few seats, make it so you can actually see the pitch, the brick wall on the John Street side, why? Just build it so the seats start from there and go forward, this picture which someone on here took from the Kop just makes it clear that whoever designed this was a cretin of the highest order.

Everything about that stand is wrong. It looks tacked on, not enough seats, poor view and poor access.
Also, didn't a builder lose their life working on that corner?
It doesn’t necessarily mean SAG rules over PL, it could just as easily mean the SAG put forward a reasoned and credible case and the PL accepted it.“Following a number of meetings of the stadium Safety Advisory Group, the Local Authority formally agreed not to support any move of away supporters from their current location, concluding that such a relocation would introduce a significant risk to spectator safety.

I’d much prefer the pukka pies stand to be demolished. Easily the worst piece of modern football stadium architecture I’ve ever seen. BLLT is perfect for away fans for both location and number of seats.
Fans are basically pitch side at Old Trafford. The only reason they are not is because the disabled section is at the front.10 seconds research on the seating plan disagrees.
She's your aunty.Think you might have something. She's off the scale in the sack though,![]()

She's your aunty.
But that's why there's the dispensation - the question that you have been posing. They're as close to the pitch as they possibly can be. I don't think it's that unreasonable. So they're not pitch side. The section for people with disabilities is and it means away fans aren't.
Yes or no?
I don't have one.Rather be doing mine than yours.
