I am kop end of john st .just the we hate Wednesday .and few cheers when he came on .the blades will take to this lad big time

I know it's wrong, but there's something about this thread that warms my heart. Love what a set of miserable bastards our fans are, it's completely engrained into the culture of the club now. Booing our new signing because he's ex-Wednesday - whilst I don't agree with it, I'd be lying if I said on some weird level I don't see the funny side of that.
It's true - but that's a big chunk of the problem we've got as a Club.

We've been perennially disappointed for so long now, we can barely even remember the bright side, let alone see it. That kind of mindset has to have an effect on the players on the pitch.

Let's hope there's a bit more noise and ejoyment at BDTBL this coming season to remind us all what being a Blade feels like.

Jesus - the season hasn't even started and people are jumping on players backs. Genuinely surprised to not see a 'Wilder Out' thread on here this morning. Give it a rest. Long will be our Number 1 so get behind him and Clarke will prove his worth with goals I'm sure.

Nobody was jumping on his back. I was there and there was no booing at all.

Before one or two climb on there high horses I'll back Kareoke and Tyler and say I was sat bang in the middle of the kop and heard no booing. A few "We hate Wednesdays" which were light hearted and laughed at by those who were there so let's not jump on the bandwagon and sensationalise things eh?
Fuck me some people must sit at home sharpening there knives all night

Not all night, usually done by 9pm then it's onto the pitchforks ;)

Perhaps while we are setting up a singing section (help me god if this ever happens), we could set up a booing section. At least you would know where to stand if you got pissed off.

What if you just felt like a mild harrumph sort of thing? Do we get a section for that too? I'm liking this idea, certain fans of ours could do with being sectioned.

You could take out the seating and let people move on a sliding scale of how fucked off they felt.

I can confirm that I indeed booed him. I even did it loud enough so that 4 or 5 people around me could hear it and laugh. I'm ever so sorry albinonick for daring to use a bit of sarcasm in a pre-season friendly, I'll hand my season ticket into the 'Not a true Blade Amnesty Bin' on Cherry Street immediately.

Where were you sat? My Mrs turned to me after he came on and immediately said "I thought he might have got booed". 4 of us bang in the middle of the kop. Not one of us heard owt
I was sat towards the middle of John Street. Sounds like no-one in the Kop booed as I notice that Deadbat in his report said that he was sat in the Kop and didn't hear any booing.

Another contender for thread of the month. Loving it so far.

1. Was he boo'ed?
2. If he was, was it worse than any Longy booing?
3. If he wasn't, what is going on?
4. Was it sarcasm/humour gone awry?
5. Is BDTBL just full of cunts come match day?
6. Will Pinchy ever stop just being a parody of his former self?
7. Is it unacceptable to hate the pigs because we have a former pig back in the fold?
8. Why has the phrase "Terry Curran is a cunt" not appeared in the thread?
9. When the fuck does the season really kick off so this sort of shit can subside for a bit (and the REAL booing can start)?
10. Why don't we have a singing section?

I heard calls for booze, maybe the critical analysis and the need to quench some supporter's thirst got lost in translation?

Not at them robbing prices they charge in the ground!
Unless.......it was booing the booze prices?!

Also, got to disagree with someone earlier that pretty much slagged off the performance......?! How? I thought overall we seemed alright against a decent team. We did what we needed to do, and yes we lost, but it took a penalty (which was very very soft in my opinion as it appeared more ball to hand with no intention in it).

We also battled against a throbber of a referee who was just shocking.

Let's put it this way, if we play like that against lesser teams than Derby (and they are lesser as they're in league one and not the top end of the championship) I think we'll do alright this season.
Can only be an improvement on the dross of last season!

No mate, not divorced, just not married yet. To be fair she only watches Dinner Date, which is shite but slightly less shite than everything else on there.
You're clearly not fond of being made to watch Big Brother with Rylan Clark screeching down the telly. Now that's hell. Luckily it finished the other night.

There definitely were a few boos when he came on, but I assumed they were in jest...
