I think they must have come to a mutual agreement that their asset is worth more in the premier league than championship.

I’m sure Chris mentioned in the McBurnie interview I saw earlier about how he spoke to both owners and thanked them for agreeing to the budget .

Nah, I’m sure it’s fine to advise someone discreetly that you’ve made a decision in a multi-million pound legal case before you give your decision in court. What’s the worst that could happen?
As for the original question, we have joint owners, so which of them do you think can sanction spending this level of clubs own money without the other?

I'm no financial wizard but surely this money has come from the "pot" we earned going up I could be wrong, that aside I still think that both owners will have jointly sanctioned the spend. They may have fallen out but they still have to make decisions that are for the good of the club, not the detriment.
