So far his career has been mapped out to perfection by those around him. His next move will be the big one - Barca or RM. Ramos and Pique are both at the tail end of their careers.

Surely he will go his favourite club ,the Tuna man will break the bank and the millions will celebrate like the city is theirs
I see Venacio ,the centre back who pledged his future to the biggest club in the world has fucked off to Guimaraes ,which is Spanish for Dog and duck.

Wont leave leicester yet in my opinion.. having a good world cup? Yeah certainly but he's not a world class centre half yet.

The standard of striker hes played against in the world cup isnt on par with who hes come up against in the premier league on a weekly basis, nowhere near and from what ive seen of him on tv playing for leicester hes looked nothing more than a steady premier league cb

I think he will leave Leicester. I hope Barca go for him, was hoping Walker was going to go there when the rumours started but he ended up at City.

Man City having the England back 3 would be good for England, but not sure they'll deem it necessary to buy a new defender.

Don't think he'll go abroad though, think he'll stay within an hour or so of Sheffield, so Leicester, Merseyside or Manchester for me.

Other - Sheffield United in the Prem.

You heard it here first, well its probably on footballleagueworld already.

Until this morning all I was bothered about was who we're about to sign and that's still largely the case. I'm now a tad worried after today's announcement about the board and how unsettling that might be. As for Harry I wish him well but honestly not concerned where this is - unless it affects us, which it doesn't.

He'll not turn his back on Leicester yet. His stock will continue to grow and he'll leave next summer.

I live in Manc and I here City are already preparing a bid, time will tell but my vote goes on City.

Contrary to popular sentiment, I like Liverpool. Love the city and the majority of their fans I've met have been sound.

If they get a solid centre half (Harry) in and a decent keeper in they'll be in the running for the title. I worry that City would buy him and not give him the game time he deserves and I dislike Man U, Arsenal and Chelski.

Can't see it happening though. Not with how much they spunked on Van Dijk.

I am never in the know & this is definitely a case of “a mate of a mate” but someone who I know is over in Russia at the minute and was speaking with a relative of Harry and apparently he is deciding between the two Manchester clubs as both want him.

I'll say Leicester, they know he's still young. In two years time he could be England captain at the Euros, then he leaves for £100 million and Leicester get rewarded even further for having some foresight.

Oh....and they'll get an extra two years out of him

Walker was the one who really showed his value last night. Maguire did ok but looked a little clumsy a couple of times.

If he hadn't played for us I don't think we'd be quite as high on his performances, although he has been excellent.

Another season with Leicester and England might be good but if he could get a move to a club like City it'd be daft not to

World’s most expensive right back in Walker and maybe soon the world’s most expensive centre back in Maguire?

£2m spread over 2 years though. Marvellous.

We really are shit, aren't we.

And in answer to the OP on the basis of the most recent evidence, never too far from home - which by my logic - limits it to Manchester and Merseyside, as has been said.

Some sense being talked here. This is the problem with the national side - players look good when surrounded by World-class players at club level, but are shown wanting on the national stage. I'm thinking Sterling, Alli and yes Walker and Kane. Taking the rose-tinted glasses off, Maguire could be (at best) described as 'effective'. Raphaël Varane of France (and Real Madrid) is miles ahead.

This England World Cup run has reminded me of the Blades in the 2014 FA Cup. We've done far better than expected but you know the 'big boys' are around the corner. Like us in 2014, England have been heroic and have some great memories. But we knew Arsenal were waiting for us, just as France are waiting for Croatia.

Harry needs to leave Leicester as their team is breaking up and will never replicate their title-winning season. Kyle will soon be replaced at City as he's shown in Russia he's not at the top of the game.

So well done England. It's been a good ride but I don't think we've got one World-class player. France have got at least five.

Agree mostly. But I think you can win things without world class players (whatever the definition is). We just need a settled 15 players to choose from and incremental growth from players still young enough to do that. And I think Kane and Walker are better than you are giving them credit for. Walker was mostly excellent and Kane played a combo of no 9, no 10, no 8 and target man because he's such a good player. More from Alli and he could have stayed up top

No, I think you can go further than expected but not win anything - class will tell in the end. This comes from a conversation I had at the weekend when somebody asked me to name a single 'world class' player France had. Off the top of my head I said 'Lloris, Griezmann, Pogba, Kanté, Giroud, Mbappé...' I hadn't even heard of Varane and Umtiti until I saw them against Belgium.
We've got a long tradition of 'big, honest stoppers' in the English game - John Terry has made an entire career out of it. But I think the game has moved on and you now need more than physical presence to dictate a game. Similarly, we need an 'enforcer' like Sergio Ramos.

As for Alli, when he scored last Saturday, I thought 'You lucky, lucky boy.' He's had a very poor WC but, as expected, one goal had the pundits drooling over him. As you say, the lack of any meaningful support meant that Kane has been decidedly average in this campaign - his goals against lesser teams earlier in the competition masking his deficiencies when up against 'proper' teams. Walker? Like Kane, asked to play a role he's not familiar with so the jury is out.

When things have calmed down, I'm sure we'll see/read that we've punched well above our weight in this campaign.
