The 3 at the back, wing backs, midfield trio or Didsy. I'd say there's a few where our ever fluid formation looks a bit disjointed if they're not around, but do we have any players that with either a sale or long term injury would cause us to rethink the system we play? Or if not rethink it, it would be a shadow in terms of effectiveness of it's former self.
I'm thinking Coutts' injury at Burton level. We've evolved since then in lots of ways, but who else would have that sort of effect now?
I can't look any further than JOC personally. If we lost him for a length of time I'd honestly expect us to be relegated, if he stays fit we'll stay up. He's that important. I've only seen Mings (in the flesh) who I think could do half the job JOC does. No one else comes close.
Honourable mentions for Enda, Fleck, Ollie and McGoldrick - but Jack comes in over everyone in my opinion.
I'll make a bold prediction and I'm happy for it to be bumped if I'm wrong (but I'll bump it myself when I'm right) - Jack O'Connell plays a full season = we stay up. And we have a £40mil centre half on our hands to boot. He's that good.
