I just love this hatred for the vile deluded wankers and everything they stand for. I can’t even say their name, as they just make me sick to my stomach.They are a stain on Sheffield and always have been, going back to the 60s betting scandles, the save our pigs campaign, the disgusting chants about George and the young Sunderland fan who died.....It goes on and on. I really hope that Sunday crucifies the lot of them and we absolutely smash them. Id like nothing more than their pathetic existence to be terminated and that shithole death trap of a stadium raised to the ground like it should have been after the awful events of that semi final..... A victory against wendy next Sunday at noon at Beautiful Bramall Lane will be great. It does not make any difference to me them getting relegated. If the boot were on the other foot, they would be the same as us. The chance to give them a pasting will be great. We have the chance, we must take it. I was there for the Boxing Day and the semifinal at Wembley. But that means nothing; that is the past. But the deluded wendy fans will think otherwise. Sir Chris will have our players up for it.

I think it depends on the interaction you have had with S6 in the past.

Im with you, i just want the 3 points and a good performance.

With the very few S6 supporters i do interact with, they dont come across as many of the deluded, so i cant say it winds me up.

I am a little older now and the rivalry has reduced (for me).

They are dog s##t this season and were always going down.

I try not to look back, so when I think about them lot always talking about history, I remind myself not too also.

Its a long shot, but i just want us to win to hopefully keep the very slim play offs chances alive.

Sorry, I guess im just boring.

Having said all that, i do understand there are Blades fans that are a hell of a lot more passionate than i am, so thinking back to my 19yo self, i get the joys in sending them down for some.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the pigs as much as anyone. The 17th of November 1991 was one of the greatest days of my life. I'd love us to hammer them, but I'm just not particularly arsed whether they get relegated that day or a week later.

Not getting ahead of ourselves with the result- but if we are 2 or 3 up with say 15 minutes to go do you think the away end will empty or will SYP make them stay in and watch their demise?

No excuse for not getitng the atmosphere going on Sunday and certainly no excuse for leaving early

Lest anyone forgets who we are dealing with, I urge them to look at Roy’s view from comments from a) the start of the 17/18 season, then the pre-Bouncing Day, and finally the ones pre 18/19. They were incredibly high on themselves, and derisory about our chances. They didn’t give any credit for the job Wilder had done, and they didn’t make any allowances for our lower budget. And nor should they have done.
But by the same token, not should we. They currently re-write the rules on when a team can celebrate, what constitutes a worthy victory, what historic victories count. In all these things, coincidentally, it’s the ones that make them look good.
They need absolutely reminding of where they currently sit on Sheffield football, and I hope that when they are trudging home after a (hopefully) heavy defeat, they consider just how it helps ease the pain knowing they won a League Cup and played Kaiserslautern 40 years ago.

I’m personally hoping Chris Wilder is as determined as we hope he is and doesn’t settle for less than six.

I don’t want any easing off at 3-0 and making subs to give players a rest, game won.

I want him to really go for something that will stay in the record books forever. Something that will cement his legacy. The Sheffield United manager who put the final nail in their coffin with a record score.

If it’s 3-0 at half time I’d be saying I want at least another three this half.

Yes , the importance here is on the result being in our favour and not the effect it may have on them , which has
already been determined .

Down the years , I can remember at least three occasions where we were hot favourites to beat them and were much the better side but finished up losing the game .

Admittedly , these were all against better sides than the one they have now but nothing should be taken for granted.
I can’t see any reason why we shouldn’t win providing CW picks the right team (which should not include Soumare) and the players chosen don’t turn up with the attitude that the result is a forgone conclusion .
