Another goal for Billy today, a very good signing for Doncaster this season.
I went to their last game against Notts County and he was poor. Rightly dropped, but came on today and played well.

Fans are slightly divided on his ability, but he's still a favourite as a bloke.

…and just left a bit on Kettering’s best player in this game.

He's just old manning them. Nothing malicious, just an experienced master using the old tricks to try and sway a tight game the way of his club. Love the man.

Developed in to an impressive all round CF and target man in his days with us. Not just the goals although this predictably is how he was measured.

Under-utilised at times by management.

Misunderstood by a significant section of our fan base.

Glad he is having 1 last hurrah in the lower divisions.

UTB

He's older - much older - than Marvin Sordell, Gary Hooper and Nile Ranger, all of whom have played for Kettering today. But whilst they've looked completely shot, he has looked a class above. Testament to what an excellent professional he has been over the years. Taken his talent and maximised every last drop out of it for the best part of 20 years. Very few can say that.

I liked sharp when he was here but the facts are he has still scored more goals for other clubs in his career than he has for us, I just don't understand the massive love in for ex players that our fan base seems to have
Aye, ball boy to club captain, 3 promotions, hundred odd goals, never seen anybody play for the club with more pride.

Fuck him

Because he’s Billy Sharp. He did what we would have all loved to do, and he did it not once, not twice, but three times. He’s a genuine Blades legend.

Yes I understand that , I just think he was great in league 1 , absolutely no better than average championship , and before everyone jumps on me he scored 60 goals in over 200 appearances for us at championship level
