What do supporters get out of all this chaos and madness? Is it fair to keep us in the dark and fed on crap, like mushrooms?
Any manager will praise the importance of supporters, especially when the team needs great support.
It seems to me that many fans want it all and they want it now. In business as in football, managers and owners will play their cards close to their chest, for obvious reasons.
Do fans expect more in return for their support, and is that justified?
Do you want a successful team?
Is today ok, or do you also want a better future, and improvements to infrastructure.
Do we have any right to expect a long term plan?
Improved communications might be better, but following this forum for a few years shows a wide variety of wants and needs.
Some of it is possible, but most of thos e desires are outside our remit. What is on your wish list and what order or priority should it assume?
Cat 1 Academy.
Remove pillars and improve toilets on the Kop.
Safe standing.
Hotel improvements.
Better players.
Better Manager.
Better training facilities.
Improvements for women’s side.
Better ticket organisation.
A new ground.
Cheaper season tickets.
Cheaper access for casual support.
Better food.
These are just off the top of my head. Any others? To my mind, the list needs priorities, especially as most of them cost money..
Money we don’t currently have.
Is it worth the new owner (If we ever get one) holding a meeting to discuss the wants and needs of supporters, and to present their own plans for the clubs future?
I think we have been kept in the dark for too long, and if supporters goodwill means anything, it should be addressed at the start. I accept some of it is beyond our remit, collectively and individually, but an outline plan for the clubs future is a must have!
Personally, I would be happy with a wrigley tin roof on the bogs, and a tiled mosaic of Chansiri to piss on, The big thing to remember is to be realistic, and you can only spend any money once!
