24-25K.

We haven't even opened the whole BL Upper yet, just one section (BU3).

The only sections of the ground fully sold out are both central gangways on South and the singing section at the back of the Kop. Every single league game on the day of the game would only have availability down the right side of kop and in BU1 & BU3.
The fact you can still purchase in any section of the ground shows how little will be there.

Bristol City won't be bringing their full allocation anymore, i would guess

Bristol City have already sold their full allocation of 2.010 tickets, the bottom tier has 2,900 seats, so it will be only 2 thirds full.

As expected sales have picked up in the last 24 hours, many Unitedites seem to leave it until the final day to buy tickets.

Ground holds 31K….there’s 1K empty seats in the away end and nearly 3K empty seats in the BLUT, so that’s 27K.
The rest of the ground is reasonably full though and there’ll be a few 100 tickets sold today.

Suspect we’ve currently sold just under 26K but my prediction for tonight would be 26,421….which is semi respectable but a bit disappointing.

Maybe 26,000 - but honestly who cares???

My old Dad (god rest his soul) used bang on about how crowds were irrelevant - especially in the days when Dave Bassett’s Wimbledon would rock up everywhere with attendances of 5,000 and beat all the so called ‘big clubs’.

To be fair think attendances are important
Because if the fans lack ambition then it’s doesn’t exactly encourage the owners to show ambition.

I’ve said this before…the Sheffield mentality prefers cheap and cheerful instead of quality.

On the other hand perhaps the owners will learn a thing or 2 about match day prices and the limit to which our supporters can afford in the current climate. They'll know the bulk of our support are season ticket holders and hopefully learn they can't rip us off to fill the rest of the ground.

Even though the south is not quite sold out and the jss there will be more in attendance than normal as the people that have tickets will be there not like normal home games ,we have a hell of a lot of not attending season ticket holders in the south and jss for normal games

Ground has 32000 seats but only 31600 saleable ,seats sold 9700 on the kop 7900 in the south 6400 in the jss over 1200 Westfield corner 350 kop corner and up to now about 140 blut 2007 away fans ,so up to now a crowd of So a final figure of between 27-28 k

If this was our first venture into the playoffs it would be rammed but it's become quite the norm these last 20 odd years so like myself i will save my dosh for (hopefully) the final and go on the dodgy stick.

I appreciate price is a factor, but my question is, how do our prices compare to the rest of the league?

We can’t really expect our ticket pricing to be any different to our rivals. Especially if we want to be competitive on the pitch.

Bournemouth surely don't care about attendance or having big crowds? They only have 10k fans yet their owners are ambitious.

And I'm sure if you ask Bournemouth fans about having big crowds I'm sure they wouldn't give a toss, they happy to be a main stay in premier league.

Pricing and timing isn't helping things here either.

Season ticket renewal deadline was just 2 weeks ago. There's potentially a trip to Wembley in 2 weeks. Holidays etc...

As an example, my brother goes with 3 kids - 2x Young Adults and 1x U18.
For the four of them tonight he has paid £102 to sit in their season ticket seats. That's before any food and drink.

Tickets to Wembley will be at least double that in just a couple of weeks and that's before any travel costs.
An open return on Sat. 24th May - Sheffield to Wembley Central for those 4 is £190 - £250 depending on departure time.
We don't even know the Kick Off time yet, so can't purchase off-peak etc. or select a designated return train.

They didn't, but if they had been to the away leg too, you're looking at >£600 outlay before food and drink

Solid 27k…Whether we like it or not, that resounding result in the first leg will encourage many to save their hard earned cash for the final.🤞

It's cost £90 for me, my brother and nephew to attend tonight - against Forest 3 years ago, it was half that price. I know unofficial communication from the club have said we pushed for cheaper tickets, but ultimately I think this has been the biggest factor for people not attending.

That last bit is the main reason it won't sell out tonight, and probably won't at Wembley either.

Loads of mates aren't going tonight, that definitely would have done pre-dodgy stick.

It's a hassle and cost that many people don't need to bother with now.

Not sure what we have only given Bristol 2k

Seems rather petty is we are choosing to exclude 1/3 of the bottom tier

Disappointing if we don't reach 30k especially after Wilder's rallying call to sell the place out, just paid 86 quid for myself & two sons = 2 adults and a junior

Because they did the same

But that’s using the Chansiri logic.

They only gave us 2,000 and split the away end in half because they put their fans first…their ground is slightly too small for them for big games
Hence why BC were the ones that wanted to charge normal prices, they knew they would easily sell out at higher prices.

Where as regards us it just looks like tit for tat spite…..the bottom tier hold 2,700 to 2,900 so we should have given them the lot.
It has zero effect on how many Blades can be inside the stadium.

If you look on the ticketing website it shows we’ve sold much more than that already.

We know there’s an empty 2.5K in the BL upper tier, an empty 1K in the away end..bottom tier.
But the website shows the rest of the ground is pretty full…apart from the upper areas and edges of the Kop on gangway A.

Looks like we’ve sold 27K already.

Of course it's tit for tat ,and they have had quite a few returns so didn't need anymore

Having been on their site, prior to the first leg, they would have sold the entire allocation, if higher. The returns will be related to losing 3-0. Seems a bad commercial move to me. Money for old rope. Given the majority of the upper tier is empty, it will not be a good look.

You’ve given the reason for the former with the latter there…

Doesn't really matter on numbers does it. Its noise and atmosphere which is more important. Away fans (always think ours are a good example) bring a lot of noise with only a couple of 1000.

Looking forward to a loud atmosphere tonight, even if there are empty seats!

Just one thing we aren't Bournemouth we don't have multi billionaire owners who see the club as a plaything as they do. When Bournemouth's owner loses interest in bankrolling them the whole pack of cards will collapse and they will return to where they came from League One, 10k attendances will do them no good at all when that happens.

I was just about to post the same.

There has been 30,000 several times this season and lets just say, its not been the best of atmospheres.

No matter what the number tonight, lets just give the squad what they deserve (after the first leg) and sing loud and proud.

Forget numbers, if you are going, lets enjoy it and give the squad everything we have.
