Genuine question, I know we’re 4pts clear still but I really feel like something needs to happen to refocus these players.

As it stands I fear we’re sleepwalking to third place.

What will it take to get these players motivated do you think?

They can't be motivated, only winners can be motivated, this lot aren't winners.
Catching Burnley, or at least keeping up with them should have been the motivation, that's what winners would have tried to do.

They've had a free pass being second all season, no pressure, no requirement from the manager or fans to be any better, they've had things just as they like them, just as losers like things, they've been able to saunter on unchallenged whilst performing at 50%, as soon as the gauntlet was thrown down it's panic stations and standards have fell off the face of a cliff.

It's their own fault, the manager and the players, if you saunter along teams with professional attitudes will start catching you, once they start catching you the panic sets in, and then it's too late, they can't just switch it back on again.
Should have been done and dusted already but the shit attitude of everyone has created a massive problem that I don't think they have the motivation or ability to get out of

That's why we were always going to be fucked if we let them get to within 5 points of us with around 10 games left. That sort of gap might as well be nothing

I voted other. As I think only thing that will make these twats play better is SACKING Hecky. As the replacement manager surely wont pick Fleck or Berge.

Motivating players is the managers job

Hecky out

Can't see past change of management.

No idea who though, but his team selections and inability to sub the unsabable is costing him

It’s a tough one Fallow of field

You’ve been calling this for a while, sometimes to much derision, but with every shite performance you words garner validity

if we sack him, and it’s got to be a serious consideration should we loose dismally our next 2 games - who comes in?

I think if we don’t we will sleep walk into 4th place and get smashed int playoffs

Pulling the trigger without a plan is worse than sticking to the old one

So big question, is who?

Top of my head is a fuckin disaster zone!
Marsch, lampard, gerrard, Scott Parker….Nathan fuckin jones

Decent suggestions….. GO👉

Contracts, all day long..

Players accross the league have an unwritten agreement not to injure a player about to come out of contract..

Matt Killgallon said it (I think) on under the cosh.. That's why I say the above comment..

But its real, they won't gepordise the next move, and get injured, there are so many players that finished with injuries and didn't play again because clubs released them out of contract and injured.. It finished them..

Its a problem, remember wilder getting them in early that year we went up.. Wasn't by accident..

I wouldn’t actually sack him now as there isn’t a better manager who could come in tommroow it was wilder but that boat has gone

Fuck me this is some sort of dystopian parallel universe where normally sane posters (me) are questioning Heckys status and fallowfield is wanting him to stay…

No I definitely do want the clown out

Unless we have someone lined up then what’s the point

Only think worse than keeping him is sacking him and spending 3 weeks finding someone to replace him

The international break is soon so I’d sack him then possibly if we have someone lined up
