What players will Chris come back for?

I'd be very surprised if the board would allow any players to sign for Middlesboro' unless we want them to get off the wage bill and out of the club.
But we need to get most of our players off the wage bill my friend , or haven't you noticed they're a pile of expensive overpaid crap ?

If 5m was all we got offered for him, then we tell anyone who made said offers to fuck off, it's really quite simple.
Who the fuck is gonna buy Mcknob ? They can't afford those wages for a feckin donkey ! But apparently we can (or could when in PL).
A free transfer is the best you can hope for.
He can't even get in the team lying 18th in the Championship !
Do you think other clubs are as daft with their money as we've been ?

With any sense we would snatch their hands off + throw in the other strikers for free

If we assume that the ~18m price tag for McBurnie was accurate, then we have maybe 7-8m left to attribute against the accounts on him given he signed a four year deal. That would be straight value of the asset. I would guess that if we sold in the JTW we would get that at a very minimum, as there are clubs that recognise that a player does not go to shit overnight and that someone with a track record of having scored 20+ in the Championship has the possibility of regaining that level of play. You however would be perfectly happy at getting rid at below five million, in order to save 20k a week in wages, which equates to less than 2 million over the remainder of the contract. So basically setting shitloads of cash on fire. Hi Kevin.
Whats he worth at the end of his contract after seasons in the reserves ? Fuck all. So we have a choice. Grab £5m cashflow when we need it to give SJ some wiggle room in January.
Or pay out another £2m on a worthless asset whilst leaving SJ hamstrung in January.
Try to be sensible , try not to be an accountant.

When you take into account the dramatic loss in value of our players , our balance sheet is well-fucked.
No point worrying about amortisation at this point.
Our desperate need is for cash flow , which is why Rammers was sold and why Berge would have been except for injury taking his market value from £23m to zero (for now).
If SJ doesn't get some cash in January to replace the shit that needs offloading , we are at risk of relegation.
Simples.

haha no im not kevin mcabe jt just my own personal opinion that we wont get much for mcburnie we either play the guy or we get shut if we can slav obviously doesnt rate him at a push we might just get your 7m for him

Think he will come in for Freeman , McBurnie, Moose , try to get Henderson on loan to aid his recovery and try a cheeky bid for Robinson at WBA
Don't think it will be Robinson at West Brom, more likely he'll come for Burke after all he rated Oli higher than Robbo 😂😂

Hopefully, Burke, Norwood, Fleck, Stevens, Baldock, Mcburnie and Jack Robinson

I'd drive the entire team up , wouldn't even attempt to sell them, just be gone.

In fact, I'd pay them millions just to take the useless fuckers away.

Out of interest what do Bogle , Brewster Egan & Mousset (not) have to do to get on that list - or for that matter Didz & Bash?

If we let anybody pick our pockets on Brewster then whoever is responsible should be sacked on the spot..

That prick at forest fancies a loan in January, u can't blame him! but he can fuck off..
Just as Brewster starts shaking all the bollocks off that he's gone through the last two seasons and is now starting to come out the other side...

Ahhhh
Score a solitary goal (eventually) despite doing fuck all else
Has anyone else gone through ()similar) bollocks over the last 2 seasons ?

Well not much, but Bogle has goals in him and a better crosser than Baldock so chose him over Baldock. Brewster still not done much but still needs time and service, proven elsewhere he can bang goals. Egan suffering since JOC out, he cant do all the defending on his tod, Irish international we could not afford anywhere near a better player. Moose, at least scored this season, shows glimpses of class. Didz, been bobbins this season but has been great otherwise. Bash - Bashambauer Allroundspieler

Wouldn't at all be surprised if Wilder came in for some of our players.

Basham certainly if he's not getting in the team could well happen I think.
Wouldn't be surprised if he came in for McGoldrick too.

Think he would probably like Sharp, Egan, Baldock and maybe even McBurnie but they are unlikely to go there at the minute.

Thing is I'm not convinced he will go with 3-5-2 with overlapping CBs with Boro.
That was the blueprint that worked for us for such a time but it happened because he wanted United to be able to overload teams in L1 who sat back. Did the same in the Champ and adjusted a little in PL.

If Boro don't have CB's capable of carrying the ball well and a good engine then reckon he will set them up differently anyway.

At risk of appearing argumentative (In trying not to be)
Bogle can’t defend, & to use your Egan analogy, Baldock can’t do all the defending on his tod;
Does McBurnie “not done much (since 1 st season?) but still needs... service, proven elsewhere he can (consistently) bang goals” read any different.
Entire team suffering since JOC out but Egan looks comfortable in an Ireland jersey - paradoxically with Stevens by his side. Agree about cost of replacing him but doesn’t that apply to (nearly) everyone we punt? , Hourihane is an Irish international but .... (apparently) Olsen is an International goalkeeper ?!?
Fleck has scored this season & showed (fleeting) “glimpses of class” albeit in that 1 game) do we keep him?
Didz, indeed all of en, When does bobbins ‘kick in’ & nostalgia become irrelevant in team selection ?
Bash - Chris of all trades master of none beyond being outstanding in an unique system that is now no more ( & cannot / will not be resurrected) ref Didz re sentimentality?

on reflection perhaps I AM being argumentative 😉

All fair points. On reflection GETRIDDONEMALL

I assume CW will have noticed the form of players like Fleck, Stevens etc and there is no reason to sign them on their form and he will not sign them on sentiment. Are any of them better than what Boro have already got? Judging how Boro played against us the answer is no. He may go for Basham though. Bash could leave with his head held high. He can hardly be blamed for any of this season's performances. A lot of the players need a new challenge away from BL if they can't be bothered here. Many will be going unless new contracts are handed out. but the Board seem to be sleepwalking into a real problem over this issue. On current from Slav won't be recommending handing most of them new deals after what he has seen so far. Worrying times.

Couldn't care less about Tufty

Couldn't care less about Tufty
Neither do I but many posters have wondered if he will come for them. What worries me most is the impact to the club by the complete loss of form, consistency and seemingly fitness by so many good players and how we will get through it without going into crisis.

i think chris will get a fantastic reception on new years day but after that i think it will be the best atmosphere at the lane this season
