What is the delay ?

Think we're waiting for the Oxford game to pass before appointing wilder, just in case, or could be Andy Hinchcliffe making a bid because he's themaster of everything, shooting, defending, passing we wouldn't need a coaching team he can do it all, it'll.e. saving money!

If all the rumours are correct about the return of the prodigal, why is it taking so long to make an announcement ? We've got a match in five days time and it's more than obvious that he needs to be changing things and remotivating the players to get us back on track. Please, get him in now !!!!
Hopefully they have seen sense and got some one else.

But its probably just needing time to widen the doors so his head can fit in.

Was wondering the same, as many posters on here said it was done.

I see someone earlier has mentioned Dyche and I'll raise you a Tony Mowbary, from what I was told by a friend, whod heard from a friend of a friend.
Probably a wind up but what the heck, might as well add my two penneths worth while we wait 🤷

It is completely done with Wilder. That is 100%. I also heard (but not confident to say 100% yet) they have simply all signed his prior contract. So he is not taking any extra money or extra contract length or conditions. Same contract. He was getting his payoff in monthly payments (which is standard), so he has not got a single penny more from this than if he had stayed

He’s in Birmingham this morning and Wrexham this afternoon - no idea why but there you are

Went down on a motorbike and sidecar with two spare helmets 🪖

They're probably over a barrel writing the statement tbh, how can you announce Wilder as the new manager without admitting you got it wrong?

Bold from Wilder. Clearly feels he has unfinished business otherwise he could have stayed in the background taking his money. That moves me slightly towards being agnostic from being against his return. Wilder with a point to prove gives me a little more confidence.

Probably helps that his on-field-idiot-in-chief has left. That should keep the fines down.

Could be sorting out his back room staff
PA back in an advisor role
David Weir been installed as a DoF

There sorted 😆

As usual, the owners are taking their time to confirm who the Manager is, hopefully, Wilder, to get us out of the mess the owners created.
But according to the Sheffield Star newspaper, Sir Chris Wilder is at Shircliffe training centre. to boost morale and be in charge of training.
Now the players know what the tactics are, so that sounds good. I urge all Blades to get behind Wilder and the players. Make Bramall Lane intimidating for the players and fans of the opposition.UTB

I completely agree with you Balham
Chris could have simply spent the next three years going for most Peroni supped in a lifetime record and pocketing the money
So whether one is pro Wilder or against Wilder I think some kudos is due to him for working for the money
And also not demanding a better contract, as far as I understand it.

Also COH have avoided a situation where they were wasting our resources on paying a replacement manager whilst also paying off two previous managers….. so fair play to them for that
And I am presuming, without any proof, that Selles was less of a payout that it would be for Chris…
