Facing a claim of up to £50million from the Yorkshire club, West Ham's lawyers are seeking an examination of how an independent arbitration panel arrived at the decision that Tevez's contribution was worth three points to their Premier League survival in 2007.

In a separate hearing, United will find out if they have succeeded in obtaining an injunction preventing West Ham from taking their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
