The first half against Bristol City was disjointed, but on the whole was entertaining and we were unfortunate to go in a goal down.I think we were understanding that a new manager and style would take time to ‘bed in’ and to be honest i didn’t see the second half total capitulation coming.
However,we were subject to the most dreadful 45 minutes that i thought had been buried in the worst of our difficult times, but even then we didn’t have the quality of players that we have today.
I am concerned that after only 45 minutes of one home game in the championship the players are possibly questioning the tactical quality of our new leadership,if that is the case then it will result in a miserable season. We must provide the funds to at least purchase the defenders that will give us a chance of being competitive,we will know by the end of August,if they don’t,we all know what will happen we’ve been there before !!

I received this comment from a mate who was a season ticket holder at Hull City last season : “ Sellés half-time team talk seem to have been lifted straight from Hull City dressing-room. Most of the games we drew/ lost under him came from goal(s) conceded within minutes of the restart. 🫤 So frustrating (and as the season rolled on, so predictable).”

Unfortunately, no manager in the world can prepare the team for two brain farts.

Once we were punished for that, there was no real way back.

I know it's an old school way of thinking, but for the first 5min (at least), I'd like to see no passing around at the back and just put the ball in behind there defence and try gain territory.

I'm a bit old school though.

It works for psg! They are loaded with some of the best players in the world, and when they kick off they force a throw in up the other end of the pitch to gain territory.

Watched the game back last night and yes we were good in parts but bristol city were excellent. They were more organised and defended excellently, can see them being up there this season
So did I as I didn’t see the game on Saturday as I was otherwise disposed.

Bristol City were excellent and could have had 7 - the way we gave up in the second half was very worrying and all has been said about the defence .

Fine lines though - we could have also been 3-2 up at HT .

Very interesting times between now and end of August . Will tell us so much about our new owners .

Master strategically focused or out of depth amateurs ?

Time will tell and very soon

Struber said he made a change at half time,to cut off our passing lines and press us harder.

This was brought up in The View From by the Hull fans. Let's hope it's not a trend
