What commentators really mean when they say..

Should have tested the keeper!!!!!!
WTF does that mean ?

Does it mean he should have smashed it directly at the goalies kite from six yards out ?

Last couple of months, a Sky commentator has described both Billy and Oli as 'no shrinking violet.' 🌹💐

Why do commentators say - "He just about kept it out?". If it didn't go in, he kept it out 🙄

Then you have Peter Drury who insists on saying a players full name when he shoots... "Gilchrist to Souttar, brings it forward, inside to O'Hare. Left to Hamer, flicked in to Campbell who lays it of back to KIEFFER ROBERTO FRANCISCO MOORE!!!!"

Can't remember the guys name, but the main RS commentator on our matches has a weird habit of mentioning players wiping their nose on their shirt.

He's done it a few times recently and each time I think 'that seems like an unecessary and irrelevant detail'.

Wonder if he did it when Charlie Oatway played...

Flashbacks from Jose Baxter’s time at the club?

“On his weaker foot” (after blasting a shot from 10 yards out into row Z)

Here’s my take on that comment ……

How can a premier league player not be at least decent using both feet. Just stay behind in training and practice shooting consistently on either foot. Yes one will naturally be stronger but FFS you should at least get those shots on target !

We have players - like any other - who could improve their weaker techniques.
I wonder if they know just how much dedication and hours of practice were put in by stars such as George Best , David Beckham & Christiano Ronaldo , to better themselves ?
We never get to hear about players staying behind to work on personal improvements but is this because it's kept confidential ?

When players are passing the ball about, why are some players referred to with only their surname, and some their full name? I would understand it if there were players on the pitch with the same surname………..

"Credit (insert name of manager) for boldly sticking to his footballing principles" ......... there's no Plan B despite the fact they're getting their arses handed to them every week.

Sky’s usual stick of praising shit teams that stick to their principals.

Everything that Gary Weaver says.
