It's a red card and cost us a game we would have gone on and win. Fans booing at the player who went off and the decision really are hypocritical. He was fortunate he did not get same fate as Coutts. It was high, over the ball and a potential leg breaker. Other way round and we would be going mad. He has been great for us but has cost us big time tonight and maybe for next few weeks. We now essentially have a team of fill ins in midfield. Carruthers showed in 5 minutes how far off he is of even being counted on for a small spell let alone an hour of a game. He is badly out of his depth. Has to Bash and Lundstram with Duffy in front. We need to dig out a couple of scrappy results. Wilder's tactics actually cost us tonight. It was madness to make changes he did. He will say he went for the win but sometimes you have to manage with your head rather than heart. We lost any kind of shape and led to us being stretched on the winner.

Definite red card, Fleck won the ball but both feet were off the ground so Ref got no choice Flecks just committed and his momentum took both feet off the ground not rash or stupid just unlucky as there was no intent. We now have a massive problem because no matter what anyone says without Coutts we aren’t the same team so need to find a replacement or alter the way we play without Coutts And Fleck we are Fked!!! Duffy no where near the same player without Coutts just shows how vital Coutts is to this team, that said if we finish 10th is that not a great season?

Whoever did the OP have you ever played football? That was an excellent strong, hard tackle, won the ball cleaning and was never a free kick never mind a f***ing sending off. If football has come to that I think we all might as well pack in, awful decision from the ref. If he's flashing reds for that, then that dummy for them should have had a straight red for the elbow.

Felt robbed tonight thanks to that prick in the black.

If you've not seen the replays, you really need to watch them. I wasn't malicious and he got the ball but he was out of control with two feet off the ground. Could easily have broken that lad's leg. The picture above illustrates exactly why it was a red.

By logical extension (given we have no one-footed players playing for us), you are claiming every one footed tackle = "went in with both feet", or maybe you didn't mean that, and were backtracking and what you really meant was "two footed tackle" (despite claiming you never meant that?).

No point in discussing Flecks challenge we will not appeal it so we have to accept the ref was right.Fleck is a real competitor so things like this will happen it's just bad luck we now have lost the two best midfielders in the division ,a real problem for Wilder.
As for him losing us a point he went for the win with 10men that's the Wilder way we will benefit in the end.He wants us to play with no fear which means we will have days like today ,but what effort the men in red and white put in

It's difficult. The easiest way is probably not to go flying off the ground with two feet in the first place, like most other challenges.

TBH Danny, my problem isn't with the sending off (or whether it was a "two footed tackle" or not), it's with people on this thread calling him a "wanker" and a "cunt".

Sending off or not, it absolutely wasn't intentional (you can see that in the full video around 3:30). Yes I'm probably being a bit defensive on this thread, but I absolutely stand by the opinion that when you watch it in full motion you can see he intends to take the ball with one foot and the other foot takes the player out. No way is that intentional (unless he's Jackie Chan).

I've had a bit of a pop at you because I don't think the stills you posted helps, and given your background, I'm not sure it was particularly wise to make your points in this thread (of all threads!).
