This time last week we were all feeling pretty low after the villa game, some fans over reacting and throwing toys out of the pram. Fast forward a week, 6 points, 5 goals better off, 2 clean sheets, players rested and recovering from injuries. Some say a week is a long time but in football terms it moves on pretty quickly and i for one are feeling a lot better this week. Im not getting carried away some tough games coming up which will define our destiny one way or t' other we all know united are good at breaking your heart but under CW it feels different....thoughts please?

No. Still good at breaking my heart. Expecting it but at least it was good while it lasted.

The best trait Wilder has as a manager is that he isn’t stubborn. He’s still learning and seems to learn from every little setback we have. He’s changed my thought process of being a pragmatic blade to a degree with a sense of its all going to go tits up to one where I can’t see us finishing outside the top two.

I said it at the time, you can look back if you want, that once the dust has settled all Blades will realise how good that first 80 minutes was against Villa and that Wilder will learn from it, telling the players to remember that 80 minutes and that no one will want to play us, we’ll i think Wilder and the players have already learnt from it, what a response to a minor setback.

The game at Villa will define our season and the subsequent week, we felt shit imagine how CW and the squad felt? yet in the next 2 games we regrouped, 2 wins, 2 clean sheets first 2 goals for Gary Madine 6 points.
Bring on the cheats of WBA, hopefully QPR will beat them on Tuesday night and the Mighty Ones cement there place at the summit of The Championship

What we all need to remember is that nomatter how sick most of us were on Friday night, Wilder will have felt worse and for longer. There’s no way that he could have escaped the malaise, it kept me awake most of the night, I bet it affected Chris most of the weekend, and so what better way to get it out of his system than to get into the lads on Monday morning and get them to produce a performance like they did against Boro.

A week ago I was fuming at the Villa result, but it didn’t last long.

Being a Blade since Wilder arrived has been a complete joy. Even when we don’t win I enjoy watching us play. Bad results will happen, but I trust Wilder to sort things out.

Being genuinely proud of your football club is a wonderful thing.

I said before the villa game that it would make our break us. A win would've put a marker do and show the division that we're up for it.
Despite the result, I think we still did that. The performance was fantastic and neutrals watching could see that we're a top side.

There were a couple of posts that night saying autos were out of the picture. I wonder what goes through people's minds when they post these things.

I think it’s just tantrums and wanting to provoke reactions in others

It's been a great week (and a great response from the Villa setback). The busy schedule gave us the chance to put the ghosts of Villa to bed quickly.

One game doesn't make or break a season, fans can point to different games and say that shaped our season. My games that I think will have cost us are the Yorkshire treble, leading at Rotherham with 2 mins to go, missing the pen against Wendy and Hendo's fuck up against Leeds. I'm sure other fans will have their own ideas of where we slipped up but in the end we are still up there with everything to play for in this most enjoyable season.
