Well done CW, BS and the club for this lovely gesture.

My dad received something very similar last year. He died recently from Alzheimer's but back in 2017 when he still had lucid moments I asked CW to write to him to remind him of what a fabulous season we'd just had. He received this:

Tears of emotions cone back again.

2 brilliant letters both wrote personally to the recipients in mind.

The one thing United have got right and have done for as long as I can remember is this sort of thing.

You would think it’s only to be expected but it’s so easy to get it wrong.

I can’t remember ever reading a negative story regarding United’s response to any similar situations. They always go above and beyond.

It is one thing we can always take pride in no matter what happens on the pitch.

First ever post and have to agree that we get this right. My uncle who is in his mid 60’s was attacked by a Barnsley thug on the train after the game last year. He has attended BDTBL all his life but it shook his confidence and put him off going. When I informed the club, they invited him down for a VIP day and retired his faith.

He got the entire team to sign the card I enclosed, and sent it on to her at my request.
