We shouldn't be relying on One for games like this. That's no dig at him he's just no where near ready yet. Brewster isn't that player either.

Really surprised we didn't bring Davies on to lift everyone after Sunderland. Draw probably fair result

Slightly disappointed to not win after leading, but it’s a decent point at a not easy place to go especially with Anel and Soutter suspended

TWO dangerous attacks (THEM!) from Brewster and a booking
Grant leaves Gilchrest behind

Their equaliser started with poor control on the edge of their own penalty area and then poor defensive decision making. Oh, and the poor control wasn’t down to Brewster.

Gutted they got the equalizer. Think we would have controlled the game if Anel and Cooper were playing as it got a little frayed at times.

I wasn't happy with the squad we had when the window shut and it's flaws are clear to see but the spirit in the side might just get us to January with it in our own hands if Campbell isn't too bad.

I’ve always given him the benefit of the doubt because of his terrible injuries and the fact he appears to be a nice kid but he’s currently trying far too hard for himself. Something Wilder needs to work on with him?
There’s a big long list of things he needs to work on. Absolute Labrador.

He also needs to work on how to hold the ball up as he gives it away far too easily putting us under too much pressure, especially away from home

I see my prediction for Campbell getting injured came true

We can't have players being too successful here

I think this is a very good point, they had a very good first 30 minutes or so where we were quite poor, we turned it on and turned it around in a minute and after that we saw out the first half quite comfortably, 2nd half it was a basketball game with both sides having chances, their goal needed a large slice of luck.
To get promoted you need to average 2 points a game and we're slightly above that, and to go away against a good WBA and get a point is fine by me

Best result of the season so far considering the circumstances.
What circumstances ?
Once one and Brewster were on we could have played all night without scoring
Peck should have hit the target first half
We shut up shop as we had no real options last 10 mins

Very good point all considered. Hamer and O’Hare excellent for us, Burrows with 2 good assists.

They punished us down either wing, thought Burrows and Seriki were defensively poor. We got away with a makeshift pair of CB’s.

Our subs were very weak and highlight the injuries we have in key positions.

I’m surprised we ended up with 11 men on, that ref was a cunt.

It’s just up front where I think we’re looking threadbare but to be fair we only play one up front so our 3rd choice is always going to be a drop off from Moore/Campbell.

With their injury issues, another striker has to be number one priority in Jan

Shirt pull on JRS

Telling me to enjoy a poor 30 mins
Telling me to go support Real Madrid
Other folk saying I'm spineless.
All I did was say we were poor compared to normal.
I don't mind contrary views on the topic.
But I don't like being told how to be or where to go.
All you do Is fucking moan

Fair enough result. We weren't in the game until we scored and bossed things until half time. Once they equalised it was helter skelter until the end. There are times when we attack that it just flows. But not often enough. Lots of our attacks breakdown due to poor decisions in the last 3rd of the field.
Campbell going off didn't help. Peck and Burrows did well enough throughout the game.

3 points ahead of Leeds and 4 ahead of Burnley on the field with a brand new team. Great effort.

A point due to a fluke of an equaliser with both centre backs out, first choice centre mid out, first choice centre forward out and losing your other centre forward during the game. That’s a great effort in anyone’s book.

Not to mention done against a good manager, a decent team in awful conditions and away from home!

Top of the league.

Could do with some bodies back for Millwall.

The conditions were awful, suited the baggies more with their more direct play, Campbell stays on and we win, happy with a point in the circumstances

Terrible conditions. Key players missing. Great point considering.

First 30 we were asleep. Terrible. Had no answer for their pressing. Lucky to not be out of the game, but you can see why West Brom have had so much trouble scoring. Two quick incisive goals and we're on top. We started well after the break but let them back into it and then it was scrappy after that.

I thought Burrows and O'Hare played well but everyone else was pretty mixed. Cooper surely should do better for their second?

Cooper - 5
Burrows - 7.5
Robinson - 5.5
Gilchrist - 6
Seriki - 6
Peck - 6
Souza - 5.5
Hamer - 6
O'Hare - 7
Rak-Saki - 5.5
Campbell - 6

Subs

One - 6
Brewster - 3 (he's almost a parody at this stage. All he does is try and get between the opponent and ball)

Game was there to be won with better selections but I would have taken that before start and on seeing team and guessing tactics.
Looked a great pitch that after Monsoon everywhere.
Must be highest ground improving drainage cf SUFC basement rain drenched location.
We're top of League
We're top of League
We must have good players cos
We're top of the League

In the first half hamer gets on the left and cuts the ball back to peck who fails to hit the target, if that's the other way round hamer makes it 3 - 1, i realise there's lots of things like that in 90 minutes but it didn't stop me swearing

Did you not notice Ahmedhodzic and Souttar weren't playing?
Yes but we were creating up front with JRS getting more of the ball.it was the replacements that made a draw our best result. One not really ready and sadly Brewster is not likely to score anytime soon. Also got caught in possession or made poor choices.Need another striker in Jan window

Yes, Campbell being forced off injured was another unfortunate development.

Which reinforces my original statement that it was an excellent result considering the circumstances.

Can't believe the amount of people getting on Brewster's back here - it's his first few mins back from injury again - he wasn't that bad! When he had the shot people are moaning about, the West Brom commentary thought it was a useful effort 🤷🏼‍♀️
