Does it really matter who is on their injury list ....... with the budget they've spent over the last 3/4 years they have had more than sufficient resources for a competitive championship side

F**k the deluded, arrogant, classless scummy bas**rds and all they stand for !!

Nicked from Roygbiv Pre Match View From The Pigs Mouth

“I personally don’t think this United side is the set of world beaters they are often painted to be by their fans and the local media. “

Who has ever said we are world beaters? The last time I looked we were seventh in the second tier of English football, apparently fielding a team of journeymen, loanees and misfits who wouldn't get a game anywhere else.

Where are the Ronaldo's, where are the Messi's? We are certainly not world beaters by either position in the league or quality of players.

But what we are is a team that is better than the sum of its parts. A team who play wholeheartedly every game. A team who understand how every other member of the team plays. A team led by a manager who makes the best of his resources.

You don't have to be a world beater, just a team.

Wednesdayites should take note.

Does anyone else think this is a load of bollocks? Most will play I’m telling you. As Harris says, mind games . Not that we’d play any different no matter what team they put out.

I also think at least a few of them will be fit. Personally I think the injury to Hutchinson isn’t as bad as they’re making out and he’ll be available to play tomorrow.

If it's genuinely that bad, I would have expected them to announce some signings before the game - roll on 5 o'clock....

If he does start, doubtful with his injury and discipline (or lack of) that he would finish the 90 minutes,by all accounts he is a nutter

I just hope the jnew manager has not seen how easy it was for Bolton to score against us down our righthand side, they have the tools to do a Bolton job on us,i can see much hoof coming our way.

Wasn’t it Basham at right wing-back that game? Hopefully Baldock will be ok to start tomorrow, that should make a huge difference

So what then, they line up like this...

Wildsmith (youth)
Hunt (£?k) Loovens (free?) Venancio (loan) Pudil (£?m)
Wallace (free) Jones (free) Butterfield (Loan) Reach (£5m)
Abdi (£3m)
Joao (£?m)

Easily a £10m starting 11. Fuck them.
Where's the penalty dodger?

Hopefully someone else has bust a trotter with the extra training.

Owt to be worried about?

Yes. They'll all be playing for their places so will put a shift in, it won't be as easy to outwork them this time. Just look at the immediate impact 'busted flush' Moyes made at West Ham. For all the big talk on here we've won one in eight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but back in October/November, wasn't it us that was supposed to get found out when injuries and suspensions mounted up over the Xmas period.

Something about a lack of a squad....

But they were crowing earlier this season that their MASSIVE squad of world beaters had strength in depth. They should be fine and stop making excuses

I remember that too mate. Recall them saying something along the lines of them having so much strength in depth infact, that they could potentially field 2 totally different starting 11 and BOTH of them would easily beat us.

Does make you laugh

I don't give a shit how many injuries they have. We should treat it like it's their best eleven and a bunch of world beaters .

I doubt they'll be as bad as at Hillsboro and the new manager will aim to have them well organised.

People on this board are getting too complacent. Expect the worst and hope for the best.

Injuries?
Why don't they loan players like we had to?
We're in the middle of a transfer window, why don't they get a couple of players in?
As the saying goes, 'Poor planning on your part does not make an emergency on our part' = 'Poor planning on your part does not excuse us meting out retribution and won't be accepted as an excuse'.

Westwood - possibly
Lees
Hutchinson
Lee
Bannan
Hooper
Forestieri
Fletcher

6/8 started against us at the Sty. So any pathetic excuse that they come out with along the lines of their first 11 would beat us, can be rammed straight back down their porky throats.

Hopefully someone else has bust a trotter with the extra training.

Three days of harder training when you're already "professional athletes" will have next to no effect on their fitness. Conditioning is done over long periods starting pre season. As Matt Prestridge has done brilliantly with us. Tash man coming in shouting and making them do some hill sprints and extra laps round the posts will do nothing except increase their risk of injury if it's a sudden increase in workload.
