huddersfield have only been allocated 33169 tickets , which means we have a 5000 advantage
It seems unusual they are only available through ticketmaster too
Really hoping our cheapo tickets are in the upper tier but, as there was no choice, I'm betting they're at the bottom![]()
The point is they could have done. Why should loyal fans as proved by their account and purchase history have to pay £15 extra to be proved loyal? As I understand it the £15 is to cover the cost of admin and anew piece of plastic. All your details are registered under your customer number and if you buy tickets the system recognises your card. I still have my card and as far as i am aware they reloaded the card each season they did not send me a new one.
Your customer number is your proof of loyalty and how much you have been so. The need to issue a new bit of plastic is to accomodate those loyal people who do not purchase a season ticket but would like to just get a card loaded over the phone or internet for the games they are able to attend instead of having to queue for a paper ticket.
If thats intended to be a joke fine.By that time I'd already spent probably more than a season ticket holder and infact tickets had already been bought for the first of those two games. The club also knew I had borrowed them.Borrowing someone's free season ticket.......loyal......pah !!!
Sorry then. You can see how wound up I am about the situation. It was![]()
Just had a response from ticket office (2 in fact!) to say that I can buy 2 tickets tomorrow with my 2,850 loyalty points despite no membership.
Boo.... Did you read the above? ^
I think I've figured it all out. Up until this afternoon (2.30) you need to be a member/STH and have the required points for each window. This afternoon's window is for members, revival etc... with any amount of points PLUS any other non-members with 2,500+ points.

It still reads to me that a Membership card is required this afternoon - and anyone without a membership card will need to wait until General Sale. It's just that Superdraw people are eligible as well this aft.
Yes Linz Thanks. It still does not change the fact that you could have been more loyal than many and not get your chance to purchase when you want. Spoken to members of the ticket team who quote club policy, basically fronting it. the conversation however went on for over 40 mins, on the rights or wrongs. Also spoken to a very high ranking member of the board who's personal number I have and he was astonished at that situation and he wants to know more once the play off is finished and suggests that in needs looking in to. That conversation also went on for the best part of 50 mins. I get the impression that it may have been an oversite on the clubs part but they cannot change this policy in such a short time. I have been satisfied with the clubs responces in the past and admit defeat at this time but think it may be adjusted in the summer.Boo.... Did you read the above? ^
Ahhh.
Which begs the question, how much would you say is reasonable to pay to keep loyalty points active if you don't buy a ST and 15 quid is too much?
We've already got a list of ticket issues/suggestions to raise with the club... May as well add to it.
Thats exactly my point. it shows on your loyalty account that you have recently bought tickets. My lad is at Uni and comes to the odd game when he gets chance, Why should he have to pay an extra £15 to keep 'loyal'. He does not have money to spare and neither do a lot of others on lower income who may plan and save for a few weeks just to attend a game. It's just not fair.Personally, the only thing to keep LP's active is to keep going to games! IMO, if you have built loyalty points up, these should be valid for use whenever - not just because you have spent an extra £15. This makes it seem like a tax on fans. You don't see Tesco saying "well you've got x points, but you can only gain from your loyalty point and have a discount on your shopping if you buy this membership card at £15", and I think this is (largely) the same analogy. Fans have built up a certain level of points by being loyal and putting money into United over the years; but it seems like if you haven't paid this £15 fee that all counts for diddly-squat which leaves a rather sour taste in the mouth.
The Club can easily see if people have bought a ticket this season - if they must have a differentiator on loyalty points, then use this as a fair method. I also like the idea of a membership card, but as a discount card only; buy this card for £15 and save £2 per home game.

Stupid phone won't let me quote properly, Rodders... But what some points collecting rewards schemes do do is remove unredeemed points from say, three years ago. Should United start knocking off aged points to reward current loyalty?
I and most of the regular faces at away games have over 30k points. We only have to worry about the loyalty scheme when it comes to trying to get tickets for people who come less often.

I dont think you should knock points off for not going. A lot of people have had difficult descisions to make on hw they spend their money. It does not make them less loyal just less able to invest. I dont see why you have to pay £15 to prove your loyalty. A sliding scale for ticket purchases is not really a problem as in this match case. It has excluded loyal fans however.Stupid phone won't let me quote properly, Rodders... But what some points collecting rewards schemes do do is remove unredeemed points from say, three years ago. The above has been mentioned before. Be careful be very careful.(i.e when there's several little Foxy's running around)
Oh, and he also made the slightly facetious comment that if I don't go to home matches and buy a membership I'm actually not investing financially in the club at all so perhaps don't deserve any priority.
