Wembley - Ticket Details

I don't see many dissenting voices at all this time around, I think United have got it right.

True, but to be fair, no-one has had a chance to be disappointed yet, everyone will have got what they wanted thus far. Let's see what happens later in the week when some only have a choice of sitting half a mile in the air or the exec boxes :)

They'll be sent to the lead buyer (the one who puts the payment details in).

Or they'll send your own ticket, not the person you booked as an extra through "friends and family", forcing you to call the ticket office to resolve and spend 15 minutes explaining what's gone off before they concede defeat and re-issue the ticket.

That was my experience for the 2nd leg, I'm hoping it doesn't happen again tomorrow morning as it's not quite so easy to re-print a ticket for Wembley!

Just booked mine painlessly with online ticketing. Only problem was it wouldn't let me log in at first. I clicked on the forgotten password button and it emailed me exactly the same password as I had been trying to put in. After I cut and pasted it this time it worked!

Was going to order mine online but thought I'd nip to the ticket office after work to see what the queues were like. There were 3 people getting served and 1 person waiting in the queue so needless to say I joined said queue!

Was slightly pissed off when I was told that you couldn't buy the £44 tickets in the upper tier behind the goal yet and I couldn't get 4 together in the lower tier behind the goal, he then said I could have the other option was up in the gods on the side of the pitch. No thanks. He went off to try and find 4 tickets together in the lower tier for me anyway and came back with some. Paid my money, £154 for 3 adults and a junior, got to the car and looked at the tickets to discover he'd given me £54 ones!!!

OK bit of a question. I know people have already touched a little on this. Want 3 tickets I have over 15000 points.
no season ticket or membership this year though. Have been told by a lady in promo that because i have no membership or season ticket this year i will have to wait till general sale. surely not that cannot be right.
My nephew who is a season ticket holder probably has about 6000. I have asked to be called back and sent an email no reply yet. My two sons have supported for years but also probably have about 6k (1 cannot go).
is there an easy way to link points ? would it solve my problem?

Was sorted by 9.30am, online, but feel a bit miffed that people ringing up were obviously given block info on tickets when we were told no one would be able to choose and we were restricted to selection of front or upper tier. Might have phoned if we'd known!

Yes, that's right, was hoping to use my brothers (who now lives abroad and therefore hasn't had a season ticket or membership this year) in order to make it easier to get us all together. He has 15k + points but we cannot use them and so I'm waiting until tomorrow when my daughter becomes able to get 2 as well.

Why do the tickets have to be so damn big? I can't fit that thing in my pocket or wallet or anything!

I need 6. I could buy 4 tomorrow with mine & my young son's loyalty points but that wld mean I can't get 6 together so I'm tempted to wait until general sale. Ideally I want cat 4 or 3 as I bought more expensive last time and they were no better than cheaper ones!! I cannot believe that we will sell out with nearly 40,000 but given some of the comments on here about some category tickets being unavailable I'm getting a little concerned. From what people have picked up, do they think I will be able to get 6 cat 4 or 3 if I wait until general sale? Cheers

Just been online to book my tickets £54 ones as there are no £44 tickets available to purchase.
When I had a look earlier it gave you an option for upper tier or lower tier. There is no option available at all now.
Im confused, it doesnt take much I know.
I dont want upper tier tickets so am I better off going down to queue tomorrow

Looks like all the £44 have gone as well, and there is no indication whether the £34 ones left are low down at the front or right up at the back.

It was said earlier that the £44 ones had gone (online) but they were still beimg sold over the phone at that time.

Just to reiterate what I said earlier, not all of the £44 ones have even been released for sale yet according to what I was told when I bought mine earlier.

As of 6pm (when I was in the ticket office buying mine), the only £44 ones you could buy were the ones on the first tier behind the goal, and the ones right at the back of the third tier on the side, that huge section of £44 ones at the front of the third tier behind the goal weren't available as they were under strict instructions to sell the other areas first. Given that is the biggest section out of the lot, I somehow don't think that they've sold all of them between 6pm & 9pm! Even more so when you consider that the queue when I left the ticket office this evening wasn't even halfway towards the door.

As for when they will be released for sale, I don't know, I can only assume it will be when the rest of the tickets have gone. I would say that I'm guessing they want to sell the first 2 tiers out before releasing the third tier for sale, but then that wouldn't explain why you can buy the ones up in the gods already.........

What do you think the minimum price will be when they get put on general sale? Will they even be many left by Saturday anyway?

Have you been able to buy the £34 ones yet at the back of the third tier? If so then I find it very strange that, according to the guy that served me earlier, you aren't yet able to buy the £44 ones on the third tier.

I think by Saturday all of the first 2 tiers will have gone and you'll only be able to buy the third tier.

Well now it looks like I'm going to go in and have a big argument.
HOW CAN IT BE RIGHT THAT SOMEONE CAN WALK IN AND GET TWO TICKETS, ONE FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS NOT BEEN THIS SEASON OR MUCH ANY SEASON AND ME WHO HAS ABOVE 16000 POINTS AND HAS BEEN TO MOST GAMES THIS SEASON AND SOME AWAY YET NOT GOT A SEASON TICKET THIS SEASON OR MEMBERSHIP.

IT MAKES A MOCKERY OF A LOYALTY POINTS SYSTEM WHERE I HAVE BEEN PLENTY LOYAL AND THROUGH OTHER REASONS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO COMMIT TO GET A SEASON TICKET THIS SEASON.

The ticketing site is 'currently unavailable' so that probably means there is some repopoulating going on with new blocks put up for sale.

Hopefully there will be an update from the club this morning telling us what have gone and where there are tickets left, I want £44 but as it stands will either have to go up to £54, which I don't fancy when there are some areas (corners upper tier) where only a gangway would seperate you from the £34 ones, but equally I don't want a ticket at the back of the gods which could be the only £34 ones left.

The people who I think may end up being a bit hard done by are those up to 8,000 points who may well have been to 20 games a season for the last 4 years for example. By the time it gets to this afternoon and tomorrow, I suspect 20,000 plus tickets will have gone and certain areas will be sold out. Of those 20,000, who knows, 5,000 may not have been to a single game this season, or any other since the last Wembley final.

Never easy and it remains to be seen whether it works out fine for everyone but there will be some disappointed by the weekend I suspect, even if only that they are limited in choice. Having said that, if tickets are being held back in certain areas that may not be the case, time will tell.

I keep referring to Blackpool and whilst they also allow 2 per person, the other person does have to have a 'purchasing history' this season, in other words, they must be registered on their system and have at least been to one game this season.

Me and my mates are in a similar predicamenet in terms of points/non members. We've got to wait until tomorrow afternoon now (can then use Superdraw members).

Looking at the fround plan and on the understanding that the reason for sales being in an order determined by the FL/Wembley I would have thought that the last seats to be sold would be on the opposite side of the pitch to the royal box (i.e where they film from). So hopefully some £44 ones up there. I'd be more than a little annoyed though if they can't sell them before the other side is gone in all price categories thus forcing fans to spend more than they want.

It was made clear by the club at the beginning of the season that members and season ticket holders got priority. If you go to most games, membership at £15 for the season was a good deal as you got 10% off the price of a ticket so you got your money back after around 8 games.

Can't see what the club are doing wrong to be honest

The issue is that members have been able to buy tickets for non-members.

I don't know! What ever system had been used to sell tickets some people would not be happy. A simple way to sell tickets for big games like this would have been in order of priority
Day 1) Season Ticket Holders- irrespective of points total, it's one of the reasons people invest in one.
Day 2) Members - again you have invested so there should be a benefit
Day 3) Loyalty Points - start sales to all non season ticket/membership holders and use the sliding scale of point accrued to allocate day of sale
Finally - General Sale - sorry you get whats left.

This way even if you have not bought a season ticket or membership but go to a fair few matches your loyalty is rewarded. Even this way will not suit every one but it does seem a bit fairer.

UTB!
