Taking the stairs into the hallway about 9:30. Should get there for 9:31. Then straight into the kitchen for a mug of tea before it gets busy with the cats. Probably loiter on the patio for a bit if it's sunny. Get changed, walk the dog for a couple of miles, then back into the kitchen for more tea and breakfast about midday. The place will be absolutely buzzing by then. I hate bloody flies. More loitering, stuff, more stuff, more tea, bacon and egg butty, more tea, loiter, stuff and stuff, then make my way into the lounge for about half 4, soak up the atmosphere. Which will probably be dead until I turn the telly on. Still no atmosphere as it's on QVC and it's Liz Earle hour. Leisurely make my way over to Sky Sports in time for kick off and the rest, as they say, will be history.

You might just catch the second half of extra time.

😁

Probably get some food somewhere central-ish and then head towards Wembley for one of our pubs. Torn between The Preston (slightly further out, good beer garden) or Feed the Yak or The Torch (closer, busier). Mainly after somewhere that has a bit of atmosphere but isn’t massively packed.

7am coach from Brinsworth, no doubt we'll be stopping off somewhere en-route. Arrive at Wembley at god knows what time and I've managed to bag VIP access into Boxpark thanks to being related to the CEO. I assume that means I just get in for free. Wanna grab something to eat before the game too. Weather looks shite, hopefully the game makes the journey home bearable.

There's a group of us planning to arrive in London around 10am, but we're unsure whether to head somewhere central or straight to Wembley (the weather may play a big part in that decision!). Any advice is very welcome, as none of us are particularly familiar with the capital's offerings.

Most of us are staying hotels for the night, so again, any advice on good options for a Saturday night (preferably where other Unitedites might be heading) is very welcome.

Car to MK, train and tube and then into the boxpark for about 10am.
What time are you setting off? Presumably from Sheffield?

Think we're looking at a 7am set off, re-charge the car at Tesla, Luton and then park up at the hotel. Hopefully getting into Boxpark around 11.30am

Driving to our hotel in Amersham on Sat morning. Brunch and beer then Metropolitan line to Wembley

Unfortunately, the Flying Scotsman doesn’t offer the “entertainment” that it once did. It’s a craft ale place now.

Used to be some banter in there.
Fans from all over the North would be in there waiting for their trains back and enjoying the entertainment.

How many times have we had The Green Man pub side? I swear when I was younger I went first few times in a row. (4 times new Wembley)

Green Man is (IIRC) on the west side. We've had the east side for every play off visit and the west for the two FA cup semis.

2009 vs Burnley: east
2012 vs Huddersfield: east
2014 vs Humberside Jungle Cats: west
2023 vs Man City: west
2025 vs Sunderland: east

I’m playing football at 715am until 845am, then I’ll go home, have a quick shit and shower then watch the match whilst having some breakfast.

We were in the green man in 2009 back when it didn't require tickets too (I can't remember if you had to pay though)
