Need a bit of advice been to Baker Street before so considerd that
Looked at going to West Hamstead, Swiss Cottage which seem easily close to Wembley but not been to these before. Are there decent pubs here
Camden sounds great (probably expensive lol ) is it difficult to get to Wembley from there
Been to West Hampstead for Huddersfield, Burnley and Hull. Decent area, 4 pubs from recollection but I'm fucking it off this time as it's clearly unlucky! Undecided still but might give Baker St a go as never been before.

Probably parking at stanmore about 10ish, breakfast n tek it from there..anyone been drinking around stanmore? If so, is it any good?. anyone lucky enough to be out around camden friday night ... supergrass are playing at the roundhouse.. saw them last night in leeds and Nottingham last week and were absolutely fantastic
I’m also parking at Stanmore. Not much there drinking wise - I’ll be heading onto tube, baker st most likely

I live in London and work in Camden and lived for 15+ years in West Hampstead so I guess you could say that I know the area well.

Camden is great for the drinking but crap for getting to Wembley.

As for West Hampstead, we will be drinking pre-match in the North London Tavern in Kilburn which is one stop up the Jubilee Line from West Hampstead (and one stop nearer Wembley). It used to be my local and we went there before the Man City semi and there were plenty of other Blades there too. Not too many to make it a complete madhouse, but enough to have a good drink and pre-match catch up with mates.

Make of that what you will!

Cheers thanks for your reply. Are there other pubs near by in Kilburn ?

On the 09:26 from Donny. Going to do the usual and head to the Globe first off (a surprising amount of pubs in London don’t open that early). Will see how it goes there, but plan to move on some point, either towards Marylebone station, or down into Marleybone and do the Barley Mow.

Probably get the Met line from Baker Street at around half 1 and get into the ground early ish for the ‘atmosphere’.

Back on the 19:48 to Donny. Depends on the result etc as to what happens after.
I used to live in a basement flat with a couple of mates off Baker Street before I headed overseas. The Barley Mow was one of my locals (although I spent most of my time in the Beehive which was a lovely old dive but now sadly gone). The Marylebone Tup used to be a great old pub but last time I tried going there it had dropped the Tup from its name and gone way up market. I'm told the Devonshire is still good which is pretty close as well... Wish I was over for it!

Pre match drinks next to Marylebone, then 9 minute overland to Wembley Stadium. Wee bit more expensive than Tube (£12 return) but quieter and frequent services back into town.
That sounds like a plan. Thanks Paisley. Was going to head straight to Wembley but that might be a better option.

Been to Pinner for the last two or three, but thinking of Rickmansworth this time . Its 3/4 stops further out on the tube, but pretty close to the M25, so might be a little easier to get to than Pinner. Also there appears to be a long stay car park (CitiParks?) right next to Rickmansworth tube station. Anyone got any local intelligence?

County Kilburn.

There’s a few decent Irish boozers up the road in Cricklewood, not great transport links for Wembley though.

Does anyone know if we’ve got The Parish pub at Wembley? Not listed on either pub allocation.

Got 6 different train stations with another 3 or 3 different routes with changes ( and two drive able tube options at a push) to decide what I am doing let alone thinking about pubs yet 🤣

Apart from the box park which is sold out are there any places to get a drink near the ground pop up bars fan zones etc or is it just the pubs?

I'm looking for one box park ticket if anyone has a spare or knows of one. Do let me know.

Is your good lady joining you?
It'll be good to catch up.

Useful thread this, thanks. Baker Street is a tip. We're thinking Great Portland Street and tube back into Wembley Park?

I'm having a quiet lunch with wife and kids on the outskirts of Wembley (because the parking is free and the kids will need a reasonably priced lunch!) and then gonna get an uber to Wembley at 1ish.

I'm a bit worried about getting there too early but I imagine there will be plenty to distract the kids (5 and 8) in and around the stadium for an hour or two?

Glasgow Airport now. Never seen it as rammed, mainly with Stags and Hens. Luckily for me, none of them appear to be boarding my flight to Luton 🤔
