United's YouTube channel have just uploaded the following short feature on the work of the SUFC Community Foundation and in this particular example, of Dean Henderson meeting a fan.

This video is a true pleasure to watch. Personally, for someone who works with young people with additional needs, I found it to be a clear indication of the positive opportunities the SUFC Community Foundation can provide for young people, such as Kyle, who clearly receives a good level of support to enable him to pursue his individual ambitions and qualifications. That said, you don't need to be in my line of work to see the good being done here. This is what a community club, a family club should absolutely be, anyone can see that. Well done SUFC.

The lad himself, Kyle, is an absolute blast to listen to. His quick wit and his charm is clear to see, he's a credit to himself and to SUFC and it's not hard to see why he was put forward for this feature, nor is it hard to see why Deano wished to be a part of this. Keep an eye out for his banter, both at the expense of Deano "Pablo Hernandez" and himself "you're preying on the vulnerable" and "he plays for England 21s like me, but he's obviously in the normal one". Well done Kyle.

And finally, bags of praise to Deano. This isn't just any old premier league youngster, hyped up and off to the division below to get some experience. He is clearly a grounded, humble young man and amongst the highest calibre of role model we have had here for a long time. He hasn't just arrived on loan, he's fully endeared himself to the fans and immersed himself into SUFC life and is finding out what it means to be a part of a club that plays an integral role in the local community and the responsibility he holds as a member of that club. He clearly has all the ability and maturity to go as far in the game as he wants to and he's destined for big things. It may not be with us, but put it this way, if he does decide to stick around a little while longer it won't be difficult to see why, and we'll partly have Kyle to thank. Well done Deano.

Not to mention the fact that Kyle can clearly play a bit (and has the mop of hair) so if Deano does go back to Man U, we know where to turn!

Another one of those selfish greedy don't give a shit about the fans prima donnas we keep getting told about. Well done Hendo, gave young Kyle a day he will never forget.

Thanks for this, Kozzy. Well worth sharing.

Koz, you're a gem mate. I may have missed this but for your attention to what happens off the pitch. DH seems such a grounded guy, but also has the dedication to his job that we sometimes imagine isn't the case with footballers of his age group, so well done Dean and the same, obviously, goes for young Kyle, a star in the making! UTMB!

Two legends, enough said. With the attitudes that you see in young premier league players these days, it's so refreshing to see United having the antidote to all this in Hendo. It also underlines how Wilder's no dickhead policy is such a fundamental part of our success.

We have been doing very well in pr recently, we also are constantly in weston park hospital and this happens every year. i also work with young uns with additional needs and although i dont know the lad, its a great watch, our porcine neighbours don't do this sort of thing, doing these community schemes breeds new fans and maintains the strong links we forged years ago. Always proud to be a blade but even more so when you can make somebody's day like in this video. UTB

Wednesday do do this sort of thing though. Every year at Christmas they visit the Children’s hospital. Fair enough we do it all year round but fair play to them they do make a bit of an effort at Christmas and make sure the Star is there to witness it.

That video was brilliant, restored my faith in today’s footballers. Well done Hendo, we’ll done United and especially well done Kyle.

Fantastic! He's given young Kyle memories that he will cherish for a lifetime. Well done Hendo.

Thanks Kozzy for sharing.

Great post Kozzy .

What a guy young Deano is . In my time watching the Blades the one position in which we've had more outstanding players than most is that of goalkeeper , and this young man is already up there with some of the best

What's even more special about him is that , even though he's a player from another club , he's already quite
clearly a Blade through and through and it's obvious to me that whatever the future holds for him ( and I would love to think that it's at BDTBL ) , he always will be .

Top keeper , top lad .

Thanks Kozzy, brilliant, the caring club, certainly given me a lift and put a smile on my face. Deano should be proud as should the club be. Bloody well done Blades.

I'm used to United making me want to cry, but for once these are tears of joy that need holding back. The pair of them come across as absolute gems. United have got so much right on and off the field in recent years, and this video shows that there is more to lose than just success on the pitch if the ownership dispute ends badly.

Its great when Pro footballers of the highest level get involved in community projects such as this -well done Deano you are a real star

I met the community foundation a couple of years ago and they do some great stuff.

As for Mr Henderson, that bit of time spent with Kyle will stay with him forever and is priceless. Quality.

I remember someone asking Warnock at one of the fan forum things about why he was so keen on making the players do community work and the part of his answer that's stuck with me was "There's a lot of footballers who ought to enjoy it before a few years time when the queues for autographs stop".

On an unrelated note, I also remember being a kid and Mark Patterson managing to sign a program for me without looking away from the conversation he was having.

Great to see from the club, and great to see more of the right attitude from Deano.
